ABOUT

I love helping others live their best life and motivating them to be the best version of themselves.

Yasmin, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Blogger?

I want to inspire others to live in their truth and to know that are no limitations to what you want to achieve in life. I started blogging a little more than a year ago, and I love being able to express myself through writing and photography. I'm so grateful that I get to do that for a living.

Who is your inspiration in life Yasmin? How do you keep inspired?

I am constantly inspired and humbled by so many creatives that I've met both online and in person. It's incredible to be able to see endless amounts of creativity come to life.

We all make mistakes Yasmin, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Blogger, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

When I first started blogging, it was difficult for me to speak up and be assertive about what I wanted and needed. It can be awkward to negotiate and talk about money but I've become so much more assertive, and I know my worth now.

Yasmin, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Blogger, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

I can 100% relate to this. I try not to take on so much at the same time, and I only ever agree to collaborate with a company I love and stand for. When I do end up having a lot on my plate, I make sure I plan out what each client wants/needs from me, and I work on one at a time. I also work according to deadlines. If a company needs content done by tomorrow, I'm going to focus on that rather than working on the content for the company that has a deadline for next week. It's all a matter of time management and organisation.

Please tell us, Yasmin, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Blogger?

I feel like I'm always very strategic with my priorities. It's so important to keep a good reputation with the brands you work with because you want to be able to establish a relationship with them.

Yasmin, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

This is something I've struggled with, but I'm becoming a lot more assertive now. My needs and wants are important, and I've realised that as long as you're reasonable, you should be open about what you want.

Yasmin, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Blogger. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

Yes, there are so many accomplishments! But I think the greatest moment was when I got my first collaboration with The Wet Brush. I remember freaking out because I wanted just to get started and work with brands I loved and supported. The Wet Brush was a brand that I started using a couple of months before I got the collaboration, so I was so excited. There was no monetary reward, but that wasn't the point for me. The point was that I was finally getting started and was on my way to accomplish bigger things.

Yasmin, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

The best part of blogging and creating content is the freedom to create whatever I want. A brand will give you guidelines of what they want and don't want, but at the end of the day, you're the one that gets to create something based on your style and aesthetic. I think it's a blessing to have this amount of freedom and being able to write and post whatever you want without a brand giving you strict rules. It's so much more authentic and real when you call the shots, and that creates a bond with your audience.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Blogger?

Just be yourself and have your style. Getting inspiration from others is great but remember to have your own aesthetic and don't copy anyone else's.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?

I'm looking for collaborations with Nike, Adidas, Abercrombie, Chanel, Christian Dior. Fashion, fitness and travel
