I am a NYC based content creator, model and influencer. I've created content for brands such as Google, Bare Minerals, Sephora and Jergens, to name a few. I'm currently signed to Bicoastal Model MGMT as a model and I run my own blog. Check it out at www.yasminelzomor.com
Our readers would love to get to know you more Yasmin. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I love helping others live their best life and motivating them to be the best version of themselves.
Yasmin, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Blogger?
I want to inspire others to live in their truth and to know that are no limitations to what you want to achieve in life. I started blogging a little more than a year ago and I love being able to express myself through writing and photography. I'm so grateful that I get to do that for a living.
Who is your inspiration in life Yasmin? How do you keep inspired?
I am constantly inspired and humbled by so many creatives that I've met both online and in person. Its incredible to be able to see endless amounts of creativity come to life.
We all make mistakes Yasmin, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Blogger , you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
When I first started blogging, it was difficult for me to speak up and be assertive about what I wanted and needed. It can be awkward to negotiate and talk about money but I've become so much more assertive and I know my worth now.
Yasmin ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Blogger, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I can 100% relate to this. I personally try not to take on so much at the same time and I only ever agree to collaborate with a company I REALLY love and stand for. When I do end up having a lot on my plate, I make sure I plan out what each client wants/needs from me and I work on one at a time. I also work according to deadlines. If a company needs content done by tomorrow, I'm going to focus on that rather than working on the content for the company that has a deadline for next week. It's all a matter of time management and organization.
Please tell us Yasmin, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Blogger?
I feel like I'm always very strategic with my priorities. It's so important to keep a good reputation with the brands you work with because you want to be able to establish a relationship with them.
Yasmin, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
This is something I've struggled with but I'm becoming a lot more assertive now. My needs and wants are important and I've realized that as long as you're being reasonable, you should be open about what you want.
Yasmin please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Blogger. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
Yes there are definitely so many accomplishments! But I think the greatest moment was when I got my first collaboration with The Wet Brush. I remember freaking out because I wanted to just get started and work with brands I really loved and supported. The Wet Brush was a brand that I actually started using a couple months before I got the collaboration so I was so excited. There was no monetary reward but that wasn't the point for me. The point was that I was finally getting started and was on my way to accomplish bigger things.
Yasmin, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
The best part of blogging and creating content is the freedom to create whatever I want. A brand will give you guidelines of what they want and don't want but at the end of the day, you're the one that gets to create something based on your style and aesthetic. I think it's blessing to have this amount of freedom and being able to write and post whatever you want without a brand giving you strict rules. It's so much more authentic and real when you call the shots and that creates a bond with your audience.
What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Blogger?
Just be yourself and have your own style. Getting inspiration from others is great but remember to have your own aesthetic and don't copy anyone else's.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I'm looking for collaborations with brands and creatives. I’d love to collaborate with more fashion, fitness and wellness brands as well as travel agencies. I would also love to work with photographers and other models/influencers as well!
