I believe what sets me apart is my versatility as a person. I've never been afraid to colour outside the lines and tap into my different facets. An ability that is evident in my work.
Victor, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
Beyond the achievements I strive to attain in my career, I truly aspire to live a free and fulfilling life because I believe that is what matters at the end of the day.
Who is your inspiration in life Victor? How do you keep inspired?
My father is my biggest inspiration for some reasons. The most prominent being he's ability to work on making his dreams become a reality actively. A lesson that keeps me going, as I know that thoughts can only become real if you are willing to dedicate your time and energy to them.
We all make mistakes Victor, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
My biggest regret would be doing shoots for free. At the time I wasn't confident in my ability to be a vessel for the client. Therefore I felt no payment was fitting.
Victor, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I believe being flexible as a model is key. The client's needs and desires are subject to change at any given time. Therefore I try my best not to have preconceived ideas of the work to be done. That way I'm able to rise to any challenge thrown my way.
Please tell us, Victor, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
No specific incident comes to mind, but in general, I've had to learn how to manage my time appropriately. Juggling school, modelling and a social life can be overwhelming if not prioritised.
Victor, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
While on set for one of my first photo shoots, the photographer/stylist had picked out a long-sleeved black pullover and matching jeans for me to wear. Seeing as it was a midday beach setting, I explained how I'd constantly be sweating which would compromise the images. Luckily he understood, and we settled on a more appropriate outfit.
Victor, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My highlight thus far has been my work on 'The Rebirth' photo series. Not only was it my first time exploring the world of creative direction but it is also my most expressive and personal work as a model yet.
Victor, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Having freedom as creative director for my 'Rebirth' series was the most thrilling experience because it forced me to leave my comfort zone and find the stories I wanted my images to tell.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
I'd advice not focusing too heavily on being externally beautiful, instead spend time on nurturing and moulding the person behind all the clothes and make-up. That being said it is still important to take care of yourself by exercising, getting rest, drinking water and having a balanced diet.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I would love the opportunity to work on editorials with and for as many different magazines, stylists, photographers and brands as possible.
