More than strikingly beautiful, Tyra Green achieved a Master's Degree in Social Work in 2014, from Barry University, in Miami, FL. She is a professional Model and Actress with a diverse background and personality that translates well to print and commercial, as well as runway.
Tyra grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she began modelling and acting in her early teens, appearing in local and regional television commercials. She signed with her first Agent at age 15 and often booked jobs for fashion shows and commercials during her high school years. She continued to pursue a modelling and acting career while attending undergraduate studies at Bennett College. In 2013, she completed her undergraduate degree in Social Work. Throughout her College career, Tyra was provided with a lot of exposure to modelling and acting, which led to opportunities in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles.
Determined to continue her modelling and acting career, Tyra relocated to Miami, FL in 2013. She was previously represented by Runways The Talent Group, of Miami, FL. Today, she is working in Los Angeles, CA and Atlanta, GA pursuing acting and modelling. Some of her most notable accomplishments are, featured role on Bounce TV for "Saints and Sinners" Season 2, walking the runway for the Banana Republic, the lead role in South Beach Tow, Lead role in Toyota Distribution Commercial, and hosting events. She's not just a model and actress, she is also an entrepreneur. With the support of her family and friends, Tyra is living her purpose every day, all while being an inspiration to others from all walks of life.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Tyra. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I'm a former Track & Field athlete. I competed in High School and College. I also was involved in Modern Dance. I'm the oldest and only Grand-daughter on my father's side of the family, among 5 Grandson's. It my responsibility to set a great example of success for them!
Tyra, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion is to connect with young girls around the world to inspire them. I started modelling after a Glamour Shot session that my mother set up for me, as a Birthday gift in Middle School. Although I was very young, I continued to show interest in High School and started booking jobs.
Who is your inspiration in life Tyra? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration is Tyra Banks. She has a great eye for who is unique and has what it takes in the industry. I keep inspired by studying my craft.
We all make mistakes Tyra, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I wish I would have encouraged a new Model, and shared tips.
Tyra, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I make it a priority to understand the Brand I'm representing and connect with them as much as possible.
Please tell us Tyra, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
The organization is important as a Model, and it helps me put my "best foot forward".
Tyra, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I was working on a group project on set, and I had a great idea. After listening to everyone, I offered to suggest we reach more than one social media platforms.
Tyra please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment as a model was walking the Runway for the Banana Republic! I love their style.
Tyra, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
A time I was creative was when I built my personal website. I had total control of the appearance and each way I represented myself.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
I would say, discover what type of Model you are, there are different types. I would suggest studying Fashion Magazines as an example of the Industry.
