I was scouted when in Germany on vacation. Three weeks later I was in NYC as a professional model. The modelling experience has been amazing, but on top of modelling, I am also a musician. Singer songwriter to be exact. I was a musician before a model, so I'm constantly balancing those two lives. I achieved pretty success with a Tom Ford show/campaign, and I've got an album coming out called "A Year Of My Life"-- it's an album that describes my experience as a model: falling in love, independence, coming of age, etc. Anyone that wants to keep in touch with my music and modelling endeavours can find me at or follow me on Instagram @trevordrury55.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Trevor. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I see the world in an interesting way, and for a while, I felt alienated by that, but I found that writing music was therapeutic. People heard my songs and connected with them, which allowed me to connect with them. I find by embracing that I can live in a world that I enjoy more. My music makes people feel, and my modelling life makes me feel.

Trevor, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I was randomly scouted in Germany. At the time, I was in school. I enjoyed it but knew that I wanted to experience something else, so when modelling came around, I took the opportunity. Modeling affords me a lot of time to think and process things in my mind, so I've thought a lot about passion and aspiration. I find that I want to be happy and authentic, and express honest emotions through my music. I want to be the best musician and most honest artist I can be.

Who is your inspiration in life Trevor? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration on a surface level is people like Elvis Presley, Harry Styles, or Radiohead. But to keep inspired I focus on myself, meditating and, staying honest about how I feel at that moment. It's in a mind state like that where songs reveal themselves, so inspiration , to me, is just another form of honesty that's being expressed interestingly. I think that's why we find those people interesting, they are honestly expressing themselves.

We all make mistakes Trevor; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

I once missed my flight to the most important job of my life because I didn't wake up on time. I was flying from NYC to London, and I had to pay $400 to change the flight, which sucked because the client was paying for my flight originally. Obviously, my agents were upset at me, and I pretty much just completely shut down under pressure. But I wouldn't change it if I could go back because I learned a lesson from it.

Trevor , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I try to be as available as possible, usually things like that sort themselves out. Most people in the industry understand of how busy it is so that's never really a worry.

Please tell us, Trevor, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

As a model, life can become very fast paced, so you need to be able to act quick. It's not very strategic, but taking the time to learn the environment, be it NYC or Milan, gives you the confidence to get where you need to get for clients.

Trevor, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.

I've never really had to do that; most times modelling is very easy going. Just staying in touch with the agency and staying proactive is enough to avoid unnecessary conflict.

Trevor, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

My proudest moment was booking the Tom Ford show and then getting the call that I was also doing a beauty campaign for them. At the show I met so many celebrities that I admired, it felt surreal.

Trevor, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

There isn't too much creative stuff I can do with modelling, but with music its the exact opposite. I've got an album coming up called "A Year Of My Life."
I got to work with a great producer and fully create what was in my head. My music can be heard on SoundCloud and iTunes. Visit to hear.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

You have to be conscious of believing in yourself because there will be tons of rejection and it can mess with your head if you aren't strong. It's also incredibly fun, there are so many amazing people to meet, and you never know who you can meet or what kind of impact they may have on you. Just stay in charge of yourself and make the absolute best of it.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
