Firstly Toni, how would you best describe yourself?
Fashion Stylist

Toniplease tell us your talent/work rate per hour?

Toni. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
I am extremely passionate about fashion. I enjoy styling because it allows me to bring out the best in my clients. There's something special about pursuing your passion; you never get tired of it! For me, fashion styling is an outlet that allows me to showcase my creativity.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Toni. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I love to travel, visit museums, peruse small boutiques and attend live concerts.

Toni, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Fashion Stylist?

My passion is to become a Fashion Editor and a positive influencer in the fashion industry.

I was introduced to fashion styling in high school. I attended a vocational school, and one of the careers we explored was fashion styling. When I attended college, I had my first real hands on experience of styling. I was conducting photo shoots and assisted my professor on shoots. I then started conducting shoots of my own and realized this was the career I was meant to be in.

Who is your inspiration in life Toni? How do you keep inspired?

My mother is my inspiration in life. She continuously challenges, supports and encourages me to innovate myself in some ways. Her willingness to provide me with wisdom and understanding is remarkable.

We all make mistakes Toni; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Fashion Stylist; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
A situation I wish I had handled differently would be on the set of a shoot. I wish I would've been a bit more vocal and clear about my vision. The images in which the photographer shot did not align with my vision. I have learned to watch the camera and the model, to ensure everything is cohesive.

Toni, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Fashion Stylist, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

It can be hectic prioritizing clients. My method is to maintain organization and manage my time wisely. It's important to give great customer service and not go over the time of the session.

Please tell us, Toni, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Fashion Stylist?

Styling for Runway 10.0 was a time where I had to be strategic. I managed 17 models and four designers; there was no room for error or miscommunication. I had to make sure I printed out schedules for the day of the show, so each designer knew where I was at every moment.

Toni, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I persuaded a photographer to see my vision for a shoot. When I first brought the idea to the photographer, he wasn't able to see my vision clearly. I then created an inspiration board, which included some examples of my take on the shoot. He then understood my vision and was able to see it through.

Toni, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Fashion Stylist. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment as a Fashion Stylist, was the showcase for my business TJ Divine Image. This is where I revealed my business to the public.

Toni, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I was able to be creative with my work when I conducted a Grace Jones inspired shoot. It took loads of creativity to execute my vision.
