ABOUT
I've studied biology at Temple University where I received my doctorate. I am currently a contract medical writer for a large pharmaceutical company. I have been a medical writer for 14 years.
I have done some modelling years ago, mainly photoshoots and modelled for an independent designer.
Last year, I got the urge to start up again when submitting for and attending to open calls. Since then, I have starred in 2 local independent films (Reigning On You and Badland) and a TV show (The Americans).
I have also been hired as a contract model for an independent fashion designer, SRC, Inc. I am also the brand ambassador for Poppy Apparel.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Tina. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you, your brand or the services you offer?
Besides being a model and actress, I am good with words. I am a decent writer and speaker with an infectious smile. I am also a brand ambassador/influencer who loves to promote clothing, cosmetics, skin care, and wine. I like to spread joy and positivity.
Tina, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion is fashion, and I aspire to do what I love as an influencer for the rest of my life.
I've got started as a model years ago through requests from photographers to have my pictures taken. But not only that, I have always wanted to be in the fashion industry. I loved, and still do, looking at editorials and watching runway/fashion shows.
At that time, I did a lot of photoshoots, attended modelling classes, and did model for an independent designer. Eventually, I decided to continue with my studies as I did not have any luck with representation. From this, I learned to never give up on my dreams due to the opinions of others.
Who is your inspiration in life Tina? How do you stay inspired as Model?
My inspiration in life is Naomi Campbell. I love her pictures and watching her walk.
I stay inspired through prayer, positive quotes, working on my craft daily, and I have a great support system, my family!
We all make mistakes Tina; we wish we could take back. What was the error you made in the past that you want to you can bring back?
I say my biggest mistake ever was staying in an abusive relationship with a boyfriend when I was younger. The sad thing about staying in this type of relationship is it lowers one's self-esteem and self-worth. I am not sure if I would take it back because although it wasn't the best experience, it shaped me into the person I am today.
Tina, How do you describe yourself regarding working with clients?
I would describe myself as a person who really listens to her clients and works hard to being one of the best representatives for their brand. I am honest and truthful. I love the products I currently represent as I use them often. Consumers cherish honesty.
Please tell us, Tina, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?
God and family are first in my life. I like work: life balance, but do have common sense in that business needs can be pressing, so some periods of my life will be a lot busier than others. I love working hard and do understand the value of hard work to reach desired results.
Tina, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I can only give an example of my current employment situation. I am in the position where I have to negotiate often. In this one situation, the team wanted a particular project done in one week. I scheduled a meeting to discuss the timeline and how long it would take to get specific steps done on my end, and also addressed the reality of when individual deliverables would be available on their end. Once the team saw the entire picture, they were convinced to extend the timeline and for me to send an updated version of the timetable offline for their review and comment.
Tina, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model.
My proudest accomplishment as a Model is recently being hired as a contract model by an independent designer (SRC Inc) and also being selected by the same designer to work on special projects. I feel that my hard work, professionalism, and dedication to my craft is paying off.
Tina, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or challenging about it?
Posing in front of the camera is exciting and challenging. I feel creative every time I am in front of the camera. It used to be difficult being vulnerable, and sometimes it still is difficult. I feel more open to express myself, but this has come with time and a lot of practice.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?*
*
Be you, you are unique; you are unique, be professional, never give up. Keep going to job interviews. You will hear a lot of 'nos' before you hear 'yes'.
