I love challenges and trying out new trends in photography and videography. Quality with esthetics is my priority. More than me being unique or have a distinctive style, I prefer to tell unique stories about people I am photographing and understand their special personality traits.
Tijana, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as Photographer?
I started when I got my very first point to shoot camera. I have always wanted to be a good drawer or painter so I was amazed by how that tiny thing can help capture art pieces. My passion is the reward after producing high-quality content. My passion is constant learning. I am travelling and capturing places and people around the world and trying to make a living doing what I love and never giving up on that idea since I was in high school.
Who is your inspiration in life Tijana? How do you stay inspired as a Photographer?
I do not exactly have one person that is my inspiration. I admire work of Ansel Adams, Annie Leibovirz, Steve McCurry, Alfred Stieglitz etc. I stay inspired by scrolling on many different art portfolios, and Instagram feeds, as well as taking long walks and capturing and moments even if they don't seem too interesting. I stay inspired by reading a lot and mixing ideas from different blog posts, novels and poems. Travelling to a new place always inspires me when I get in a rut.
We all make mistakes Tijana; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?
I wish I worked harder in the past focusing on one particular skill instead of being interested in a lot of things and being all over the place. I guess most of us are kind of guilty of that because the internet gives us a lot of free information which makes it hard to stay focused on one particular subject.
Tijana, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients?
Punctual, collaborative, understanding, outgoing, willing to adapt, tolerant
Please tell us Tijana, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?
I prioritise family and work. Social life and friends come after that. I guess that is related to a phase of life.
Tijana, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I had a photo shoot with a girl that was kind of shy on camera. She wanted regular portrait headshot while I thought it would be more fun to show of her feminine and sensual side. I persuaded her to put different makeup and dress in a vintage but sensual style. She denied at first but decided to take a shot. When I showed her the first shot, she was amazed and got more comfortable. After she saw the final post-processing result, she couldn't be more excited and showed photos all over social media even though before that she was never posting photos regularly.
Tijana, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer.
Recent photoshoot for a motorcycle web shop Girl on a cafe racer motorcycle. Photos I am very proud of.
Tijana, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I always tend to be creative. Mostly I change angles, lighting and poses of clients along with some accessories that can change up the atmosphere of the photo. I was doing a regular birthday photo shoot, images looked dull and boring. I tried a new editing style in Lightroom, which was different than what I would usually do. The client loved it and asked me to make a photo art composition with fantasy elements. So sometimes, clients inspire to take different approaches.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
Shoot every week, take unpaid projects in the beginning, reading a lot, networking with other photographers, finding a good mentor
