I am a passionate and dedicated photographer. I truly enjoy photographing the personalities of people. I love to travel, and photography puts me in opportunities I otherwise would miss. I enjoy working on collaborative projects with fellow photographers and models. I have a studio located in the Hot Shop Art Center in downtown Omaha NE.
Thaddeus, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as Photographer?
My passion is photographing the human form. My aspiration in life is to see day to day life as it unfolds. To be alive and capture the essence of what makes a life change over time. Life happens so fast; photography allows me the opportunity to capture at least for a moment, the special events that take place in people's lives. Weddings, Birth, Death. All things that are a part of life and living. I got started in photography in 1978. I was an equipment design engineer. I had to create documentation for training and repair, which included photographs.
Who is your inspiration in life Thaddeus? How do you stay inspired as a Photographer?
Two people keep me inspired as a photographer. My wife and my dear friend Robert Patrick photography I met in Crossett Arkansas several years ago. Each day I wake up, I find things to photograph and present to the world. Life itself inspires me to seek the unique focus I need to be a photographer.
We all make mistakes Thaddeus; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?
The mistake I made was earlier in my life I gave up on photography. I would probably be much further in my career if I had only persevered. However, I am now back on track.
Thaddeus, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients?
I have always had great relationships with my clients. I listen to what they require and create a plan to achieve their end desires. I treat my clients as I would want someone to treat me: an old, but the true concept for lasting relationships.
Please tell us, Thaddeus, how do you prioritize work, social life, friends, and family?
I develop a plan for the next day, the day before with room for changes. My family is the main part of my planning process. However, I make projections always to meet the needs of my clients. I also have established relationships with colleagues to whom I can delegate projects as I require assistance. This process ensures consistent, productive use of my time and freedom.
Thaddeus, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I was working on a project which had a lot of issues. I made the proper observation concerning the issues and provided the proper collaborative data. After evaluating my information, my colleagues were persuaded to follow my lead.
Thaddeus, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer.
I was asked to become an adjunct faculty member at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Florida, and to teach photography. I truly enjoyed sharing the art of photography with my students. I miss it now that I am in Nebraska. Also, I was given a grant by the state of Florida for $12,500 for my business.
Thaddeus, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I was working on a collaborative project producing a documentary film on the Muskogee native American tribe. I was able to edit the video in creative ways to enhance production. This was an exciting project.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
Learn patience and attention to details. Listen to your clients and be flexible to their needs. Don't think you know everything about photography, because there is always someone who can teach you something new.
