What makes me unique is that I don't try too hard to fit in with what's _„ñcool_.„ I work hard to create my style of editing and remaining true to myself and my vision.
Tevin, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as Photographer?
My aspiration in life is to be prosperous is everything I do. Prosperity includes learning from past mistakes and growing from there. I started photography because it made me look at the world differently. It gave me the availability to show people my creative side and allowed me to give people a journey through my lens.
Who is your inspiration in life Tevin? How do you stay inspired as a Photographer?
My inspiration in life is the great Will Smith - I love how he was able made the most of his situation and not let his circumstances define him and his future. He has been an inspiration to me because of his approach to life and how he handles situations. How I stay inspired: I have a wonderful support system that keeps being grounded and motivated to push harder.
We all make mistakes Tevin; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?
Nothing. I try to live my life without regrets. All the mistakes, the bad people, the difficult times - those are all the things that have molded me into the strong-willed I am today.
Tevin, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients?
I'd like to think I'm very easygoing. I like creating a fun, warm, and inviting atmosphere for my clients.
Please tell us Tevin, how do you prioritize work, social life, friends, and family?
It's really difficult to balance everything, but I usually set deadlines for the work that I need to get done, and I also set my work up according to priority. I also make sure that I put family first. I take breaks on the weekend to spend time with my friends, and that helps me balance my social life
Tevin, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
When I convinced my mom to buy me studio equipment.
Tevin, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer.
From the very first day, I started photography; I knew that I wanted to build my studio. It was very difficult, and it took a lot of hard work, patience, and loads of saving. But I am proud to say that I am finally running my studio called Savage Studios
Tevin, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
One of my most creative shoots had to be an FX Makeup shoot. It was such a great experience. I was introduced to the makeup by a friend/colleague. The challenge came with combining the idea with a stranger and make the shoot a success. Also, the focus of the shoot was different from my other shoots. I had to make sure my lighting and my overall focus did justice for the makeup. Despite small bumps on the road, the shoot was successful and extremely enjoyable.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
As clichÍ© as it may sound, my advice would be _„ñBe Yourself!_.„ It is so easy to fall into the trap of trying to imitate world-renowned photographers such as Brandon Woelfol. It's great to look up to someone, but it's very important to remain true to yourself and our style. Be original with your ideas and trust your skills.
