State / Region
I am primarily a portrait photographer. However, that is not all that I am capable of. I also love nature and landscape photography. But what I think is special about me is that I will take as much time as needed to bring a vision to life.
Taylor, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as Photographer?
I started as a photographer mainly because of my family. We always used to go on vacations, and every vacation included a camera. From this alone, I developed a love of capturing moments in time, and it has only grown since then.
Who is your inspiration in life Taylor? How do you stay inspired as a Photographer?
There is not one set person who is an inspiration to me. I follow many amazing photographers on Instagram, and all of them post amazing content. I stay inspired by looking through Instagram at all of the amazing photographers I follow. There is never a lack of inspiration on my feed, and I love it. I also find it inspiring to walk through nature. You never know which location will spark inspiration and ideas.
We all make mistakes Taylor; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?
When I first started as a photographer, I was not very confident in what I could do. I am in no way afraid to ask for help; however, when I was first starting, I had asked my best friend to come with me to shoots because she was good at posing ideas. I felt discouraged in myself, and that feeling alone inspired me to do better with utilising locations instead of panicking about poses before I get there.
Taylor, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients?
I like to help clients relax, so when I am shooting, I will say the most random things to make them laugh. It makes the photo much more natural, and my clients can relax and be themselves.
Please tell us, Taylor, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?
I do my best to balance them as equally as I can. Because a lot of my shoots happen through scheduling with me, I do my best to schedule my shoots around in a way that I will not feel that I have limited my time with work, social life, friends or family.
Taylor, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I am passionate about important causes. I wanted a speaker to come to my school, but the budget was not cheap. To convince others that this was a worth budget spending, I needed to inform them of the need for such a speaker. It involved perseverance on my part, as well as persuasion. I cried tears of happiness when it all came to fruition.
Taylor, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer.
My favourite moments as a photographer come from when people tell me they wanted me to take their photos because they like my style or because they like my personality
Taylor, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I love trying different things with my photography. One day I made plans with a friend to take photos specifically at night. We turned on car headlights and used the headlights as our source of light. It was the most exciting thing to watch the goal I had in my head come to life.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
It sounds cliche, but don't give up. It's really easy to get discouraged when it seems like your photos aren't how you wanted them to turn out, but the more you stick with it, the more chances you give yourself to become exactly the photographer you want to be.
