Being lucky enough to be a military brat I got to travel the world growing up. Texas was our last stop, and I’ve been here since 2004.
In high school and college I studied medicine, but quickly into college, I realized that I wanted to make art my career. I studied cosmetology at Paul Mitchell the School San Antonio. Hair art is so much fun, but I wanted to complete goals that I’ve had since before I could remember. I wanted to be a model. While in school I had colorful hair, and I would do photoshoots with POP colored hair, and send pictures to the owner of the school asking him if I could get my photo on the wall since I have the color in my hair.. it didn’t happen, but I’m never going to give up.
My ultimate goal is to get a large enough following that I can I have the platform to be able to speak about things in our world that matter. I want to be able to speak for people who feel like they don’t have a voice (specificity the LGBTQ community and those with Mental Health issues).
Other goals of mine include being the face of a brand, magazine covers, photoshoots with supermodels, and being as well-rounded of a model that I can be.

Modeling I have done(multiple in each)-

Our readers would love to get to know you more Tatiana. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

Something unique about me is that I can put both my leg behind my head, and i can twist both my arms in a full 360. I broke both my arms, so I’m double jointed lol

Tatiana, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My aspiration in life is to have a large enough platform to be able to speak for people who feel like they have no voice. Everyone deserves to be heard. I also want to be the next supermodel of the world! Lol!
I started modeling because I needed an outlet. I needed to show my art in a different light. Modeling is my therapy.

Who is your inspiration in life Tatiana? How do you keep inspired?

I have two main inspirations in my life. Felicia Febo and Jennifer Benavides. Throughout my journey through cosmetology school, both of them were ALWAYS pushing me. When I was sad, it’s almost like they didn’t let me be sad. They were always there for me when I needed wise words. I stay inspired by the words spoken by the both of them. It’s stuck in my head. I’m so grateful to have met them.

We all make mistakes Tatiana; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Oh my gosh! One time during a photoshoot the photographer tried to make pornography without me knowing. I found out just before he started recording and let’s just say my words were not nice. I could have just got out and left, but I felt so disrespected.

Tatiana , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

When dealing with a lot of clients I always know the days I’m busy, and also the days the photographers have time. If I’m getting shot by multiple photographers at once, then I make sure every photographer gets the shot they want.

Please tell us, Tatiana, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I have yet to reach my top priorities as a Model, but coming close is when I got to help direct and also a model for a Mental Health Awareness photoshoot. We had to make sure that we moved at the right pace, get in the cold water and keeping a model face, and to make sure that we got the shots that we needed to make it look like our spiritual bodies left our physical bodies. It was a long, long long shoot.

Tatiana, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I have a journal full of photoshoot ideas. When a photographer wants to work with me, or if I want to work with a photographer I show them my journal, and they like that I have my ideas and I’m willing to share them with them.

Tatiana, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment as a Model happened recently (January 2018). I got published for the first time as a hairstylist and model for Britney Newman’s fashion line. That is by far my biggest accomplishment to be published as both in the same magazine.

Tatiana, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I got to do a photoshoot with paint! I love to paint, and my fiance and the photographer were squirting paint on me while they were shooting! It was so much fun!!! The whole thing was exciting.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

If you want to be a successful model all you have to do is follow your heart. Know that if you don’t give up, you will never be a failure. You can do anything you put your mind to as long as it’s your dream ♥️

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I’m looking for collaborations with everyone! I love doing fashion shows. I think I’m more interested in collaborating with brands so that the brands know who I am and can pass my name along, or maybe other brands would see me and would want to collaborate with me also. Ps- I am an MUA also. *wink makeup brands*

ITS HARD TO CHOOSE! I love working with fashion talents, creatives, and I’d love to work for a brand.
