Born and given a unique name, my stars were aligned for me to be different since day one! I think what people love most about me, and what sets me apart, is the ability I have to find the good in everything! I am big on pushing for peace and inclusiveness. I'm just a people person all around!
Tajha, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My purpose in life is to inspire others! I believe as I continue to push myself to be the best I can be I can use gained knowledge and help others break past their barriers as well!I started modelling as a creative outlet, and it transformed into a platform for me to have a voice!
Who is your inspiration in life Tajha? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration in life is spreading as much love and prosperity through the world as possible. I did not grow up with the ideal support system, but I overcame my obstacles, so I want to apply that to helping others do the same!
We all make mistakes Tajha; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I can honestly say, in my professional career as a model, there has never been a time I treated anyone in a way I wish I could change. I would say though, there have been times I did not take advantage of networking opportunities, and that is something I make sure to do now!
Tajha, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I prioritise clients' needs on a first come first serve basis. I value all of the work I do and the amazing people I have the opportunity to work with, so it's only fair to follow the same procedure with everyone.
Please tell us Tajha, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
The time I find myself having to be most strategic is when I am double or triple-booked in a single day. As my nerves naturally kick in from doing what I love, I have also to manage my time to get everywhere I need to be when I need to be there. On these days I stick to a VERY strict schedule, designating time for everything from eating to bathroom breaks to filling up on gas! You have to make it work!
Tajha, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
A time I was able to persuade someone at work successfully would be when I persuaded a photographer to drive 2 hours to the city I lived in and shoot some shots for my portfolio, free of charge. I did this by sharing my passion and being completely honest about my situation. The shoot turned out great!
Tajha, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
The proudest moment I have as a model would be the first time I ever did promotional modelling work for Allstate, and at the same event, I booked an ongoing contracted position with a completely different company! This was so exciting for me because I was nervous to do promotional modelling and the first event was a heaping success for me; it further fueled my passion for what I do
Tajha, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I try to share my creative input in everything I'm involved in. This is exciting because you see the finished product (your edits) and know you were apart of the concept, not just the visual. This can be difficult because when others are set on a concept, they aren't always willing to hear what someone else has to say, but with my charm, it usually works out in everyone's favour ( :
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Just dive in! Stop waiting for photographers to come to you, reach out to them! Take it seriously; it's not just as simple as standing in front of a camera. Practice your looks, learn your angles, know what looks good on you. If modelling is really what you want to do, rid your brain of everyone else's opinions and get started!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I am looking for any collaboration that will help me to gain experience and better my skills.
