What makes me unique is my heart and love for others. Everything I do I do it because of my love for the Lord and His people. If there is anything that has stuck in my mind over the years, it would be the verse 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. It reminds me that I have been chosen and I will proclaim excellence! Whether that be through the talents, I have been given or simply embracing Sydney on a daily bases.

Sydney, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passion is singing/performing. Modelling came in The picture while networking with a few different people and When I decided to try it out, it became something I enjoyed and helped me build humbling and strong confidence.

Who is your inspiration in life Sydney? How do you keep inspired?

I'm careful about who I say inspired me because everyone is human and in the end, everyone fails, and it's hard to put someone on that pedestal. But if I had to say someone that I'm inspired and encouraged by it would be Tori Kelly. Music keeps me inspired; it never fails to lift my mood. There is pretty much a song for any way you feel it seems. Music touches the soul and inspires me to keep pushing.

We all make mistakes Sydney; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

I haven't had many of these situations as a model if I'm completely honest. Everyone is usually very genuine and nice. If there is anything I'd handle differently as a model and would take back is comparing myself to other models in the room. We each have something special about us that is given to us that makes us unique as a model. When you try to mimic someone else, it's easy to lose your style and what makes you special. It's important always to remember who you are in the midst of modelling and stay completely humble and confident in your abilities. I try not to be anyone else except Sydney.

Sydney, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

I try to be as helpful and efficient as possible. Even if that task doesn't require modelling. If I need to help set up to make the overall shoot prosper then, that's what I'll do. It's also important to be on time and stay organised in the midst of managing multiple clients. If you have your priorities correct that helps your client a lot

Please tell us Sydney, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I think my last shoot was a lot different than I was used to. I was trying a lot of different poses and makeup styles. I needed to sell the concept. So I just really sat and analysed the concept of the shoot, and the purpose behind the look and that helped set priorities in the right place.

Sydney, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

Simply helping someone understand and being calm in a situation like this is helpful. If you are frustrated and are unwilling to compromise or elaborate people will never see your point of view. For example, if I have a certain concept in mind for a shoot and the photographer isn't exactly grasping that with their photos, it helps to show concept images of something similar or elaborate further and sit down with them. This works better than criticism and assumptions.

Sydney, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

My proudest moment as a model was when I was finally able to walk on the runway as my most confident self. Not worrying about what anyone thought or said but being completely confident in my walk and abilities. That's when I knew I enjoyed modeling when it became more about what Sydney thinks of herself and not what others think. And that was so much more impressive and beautiful than anything else.

Sydney, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I'm always able to be creative by trying new looks, changing up the hair, fun things like that. It is sometimes difficult when you're out of your comfort zone, especially if the look you're going for effects your confidence. But it's almost always worth it!

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Be confident, and don't let anyone tell you that you can't!

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?

Yes. I am looking for collaboration with makeup brands, designers, etc.
