I like elegance and beauty, but that doesn't make me particularly unique. I'm told I'm kind, polite, quiet. I'd say all that is true unless I sense stupidity, superficiality or even worse prejudice and intolerance. If that's the case, I lose my temper very easily. I tend to show the nice side in my pictures, with very rare exceptions.

Stefano, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

My passion is once again photography, and for all I know, It won't go away any time soon.
I would aspire to transmit at least some of my values to as many as possible, starting with my dearest ones.
I started when I was asked by a friend to take pictures of art pieces for the local diocese.

Who is your inspiration in life Stefano? How do you keep inspired?

I have no single role model. I find young people more and more inspiring as the generational gap increases.

We all make mistakes Stefano; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

Mistakes! Oh gosh, I've got such a collection! Almost proud of some. But not of this one: already twice happened that some guy drags a client away from me by exploiting my humbleness, imposing themselves as "experts". Still, I don't mean to give up on myself and change.

Stefano, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

That's true, and I think the classic "first in, first out" method is good enough for most situations. I try to follow it as much as I can anyway, with an eye open to exceptions, which can occur when a client needs an exceptionally fast delivery, or I'm having troubles interfering with my work.

Please tell us, Stefano, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

Ok, now you're making me think at the last five or six months.
My equipment suffered such a continuous, uninterrupted series of accidents that I'm still baffled. For a while, I was left without strobes and with just one prime lens. There was no way out without carefully taking only the jobs I was sure I could deliver given what I had to work with.

Stefano, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

It happens more often than I had thought: I see how beautiful a subject can look in a picture, but the makeup artist or the hairdressers, or the stylist... in short someone else on the set don't believe me until after they've seen the pictures. Then they want more. And I'm happy.

Stefano, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

There are some. Let's stick to the most recent one: worked with a girl who wouldn't fit in any model agency. We decided to shoot fashion, because, well, we wanted to. And since she's got a taste and a working brain, I had only to arrange the set and let her be gorgeous as she can be. It turned out to be a great shoot.
After all, I guess I consider that an accomplishment more than just a big income or fame.

Stefano, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

You mean that time when I moved half the living room furniture into the studio just because I thought it fitted well the mood we were shooting? I wouldn't say exciting or difficult... fun and messy seem more appropriate to me.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?

Be unrelenting.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?

I am, I look especially for small businesses and makers willing to experiment, eventually trading off strategic plans to come up with a meaningful picture.
I also look for stylists and creatives who share my love for beauty.
