I was born and raised in the Czech Republic. Writing has been my number one passion for as long as I can remember. I've worked for national magazines and pop culture websites for roughly five years, and started my blog as another form of creative self-expression.
I live with one boy, two fish, two dogs, and a hedgehog in Portland. My closet contains only white and black clothes because they're the only colors that match unicorn hair. Friends would describe me as witty, brutally honest, shameless, inquisitive, and effervescent.
Our readers would love to get to know you more Sophie. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I'm a new generation of woman who's just tired of everyone's shit.
Sophie, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Blogger?
I wrote for national magazines and pop culture websites before starting my own blog. My number one passion is writing.
Who is your inspiration in life Sophie? How do you keep inspired?
My sister is a huge inspiration because she juggles work and her personal life so effortlessly. I'm inspired by the artistic and quirky personality of Portland.
We all make mistakes Sophie, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Blogger , you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Blogging is a pretty independent job, where my success doesn't depend on anybody else but me. I tend to carry around an attitude, especially when I feel like I'm being judged. Sometimes I wish I could keep that attitude (and potty mouth) in check.
Sophie ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Blogger, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I hate to say this, but money plays a role. Hey, I gotta pay rent! I also prioritize based on where my personal passions lie.
Please tell us Sophie, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Blogger?
Blogging is all about time management and juggling multiple tasks/clients at once. I make lists on actual PAPER every single day -- and on my phone.
Sophie, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I think I can read people's energies pretty well, so I adjust my tone and body language to whatever mood they're giving off. Being funny and friendly also helps.
Sophie please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Blogger. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest accomplishment would fall under all the tech savvy things I've taught myself. Plug-ins, domain names, Google Analytics, etc.
Sophie, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I'm creative every single day! That's the whole reason I started a blog! The tricky thing is, all creativity is subjective, and some people may totally hate it. Others may love it.
What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Blogger?
Write/post/create every single day. Be consistent, be patient. Do not be afraid to brag about yourself and your life.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
YES. I'm always looking for designers and brands to collaborate with. My dream would be to write about the product on my blog, or wear the product in my photos.
Now for the best part Sophie! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
