Sita. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
My one love in life was dance (Ballet), and I, unfortunately, got injured almost ten years ago now. Going from 15hours of training to 0, I was in need of something new to focus my energy on. My focus started to move towards photography then.
I fell in love, and I fell hard. Since then, I have taught myself, experimented and have done lots of courses and training in the industry.
I currently hold two bachelor degrees with majors in Photomedia, Contemporary Fashion, Marketing and Accounting from some of the most prestigious and recognised universities in Australia.
I believe photography is more than just the techniques and equipment. It's the context and mind behind the camera. My thirst for learning and knowledge in a variety of fields all come into the images I produce.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Sita. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I believe everyone is unique. No two people are the same. My ethnicity, background, education, experiences, etc. have all shaped who I am today and how I view the world. As a photographer, this is very important in giving context to my images. After all, capturing images is capturing a point of view at a given time.

Sita, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

My passion for photography started out of boredom (as I have explained before, I got injured and went from 15 hours of dance training/week to 0 in a split second). I picked up the camera, and I fell in love with it and the possibilities it opened up to me.
My aspiration in life is to continue to create images that portray how I see the world and how I want my subjects seen by the world.

Who is your inspiration in life Sita? How do you keep inspired?

Photography wise, I look up to famous photographers as well as new photographers for ideas and I am always learning.
I keep inspired by absolutely everything around me. What someone said, what I have been reading, what I've seen, etc.

We all make mistakes Sita; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I wish I'd been braver sooner. I started photography believing that I was "good" but not good enough to be professional. This is fair as I had just started. But this thought lingered for way too long (even after I was working in the field) and I didn't realise I was subconsciously still holding on to this thought until recently.

Sita , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I pay attention to the kinds of jobs and how much time I can dedicate myself to that particular jobs. I always make sure I don't overbook. I always make sure I deliver what I promise. That is my top priority.

Please tell us, Sita, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

Planners, calendars and to-do lists!

Sita, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I am someone who likes to be informed. Usually for someone to see my way all I have to do is show them the information that I have researched and my opinions.

Sita, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Having the courage to create Precious S2 Photography. This is more than just photography. I use absolutely everything I know and so much energy into building this business.

Sita, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
This happens so often for me. I always try to be creative in all of my work. Sometimes the clients' brief can be very restricting, so it's difficult to be creative. However, I am a photographer and being creative is part of the job.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?

See the world - see more than just the latest gadgets and techniques.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes! I love collaborations.
With collaborations, I always look for things that are beneficial for everyone. Right now, I would love to collaborate with more local Darwin creatives as I have recently moved here.

Now for the best part Sita! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
