Our readers would love to get to know you more Simone. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I am unique as I don't like the standard glamour photography. I like to experiment. I am different from the rest as I make the session so comfortable and also I have been a model for over 15 years, so its takes to make flattering images of all shapes and sizes.
Simone, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
Photography plays a big part in my life, since I was 16. Straight A+ but never took it seriously, but was also a model for my sister's uni projects.
I only took modelling serious when I was 23 and still enjoy to this day, but I find my photography takes over because I like to take control.
I started photography in mid-2007.
I love life and love to live life to the max as I quote since I was 18. A Strong believer in that.
Who is your inspiration in life Simone? How do you keep inspired?
I could really say, Peter Coulson, because I have been in front of his lens before and he is possibly the most down to earth and love his style and admiration in helping others.
I keep myself inspired by looking at all my old work and just keeping myself on my toes and doing shoots. I just have to keep going.
We all make mistakes Simone; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Photographer, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I like to please everyone no matter what and always want them to walk away happy. This one time I just took it too far. I spent around $200 on prints due to errors on my behalf and even the client just taking advantage of me. I wish I could turn back the time as now I know what to do and say if this happens again. I wasn't happy.
Simone , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I find it is first on the first serve.
Who ever responds and send back the proofs they want to be edited they will be the ones I will edit first. It's only fair really.
Please tell us, Simone, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
I make a to-do list of what really needs to be done first and also if I know if something is going to be simple I try and get them done as soon as possible.
Simone, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I am a quiet achiever but when I need to say/show something a different way that's better I would do so by letting them know how I work. They can show me what they do, and then I can show them my way.
Simone, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I worked with a big car audio big brand at a car show, and they had posters everywhere. It was so exciting and not to mention in car magazines. It's nice to see my work in print and being able to see it for real and seeing my clients really happy.
Simone, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I would say these past nine months have been very creative with my shoots - I have ventured into the green screen and wow I got some amazing results with my photoshop skills. It's amazing how much I have learnt over time.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
To stay focused, don't let others take over your work, don't listen to the haters, be yourself and focus only on the positives...it's really the only way to go.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Of course, I am. I am looking to collaborate more with fashion brands. I would so love to do more with Instagram and find that its high in demand. I'd nail it perfect
