 ABOUT

I have one of the biggest and most warm personalities out of anyone I know. I love dressing up and becoming the character, meeting new people and trying new things. I enjoy adventures, new scenery, and traveling. I have driven from Colorado to Georgia as well as North Carolina as well. I am someone that goes after whatever it is that I want or need without anyone having to persuade me or bribe me. I am very driven, humble, and persistent and I love putting pieces together that you would not usually imagine together. I also love acting and have been performing monologues since I was 13 years old. I love being in front of the camera. I specialize in Fashion and Editorial, Promotional, Print, Body Paint, Advertising, and so far, I have done a few background roles, and featured background roles in the movie Industry.

Our readers would love to get to know you more ShaRhonda. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I have beautiful almond shaped brown eyes, long beautiful legs, a warm infectious smile with two dimples, an amazingly warm personality, and beautifully defined high cheek bones. I have a beautifully unique scar due to having a spinal surgery and it has definitely empowered me to never give up on myself and always go after what I want no matter what.

ShaRhonda, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passion has always been helping people. Whether I know them or not. I aspire to be an overall well rounded woman that warms hearts, makes people laugh, and also someone that pushes myself to my full potential and never giving up on myself or stop loving myself--regardless of the circumstances. I started modeling by watching Americas Next Top Model as a young girl. I had huge dreams of being a model and meeting Tyra Banks and the amazing Jays! I wanted to learn so much from them and I actually did by watching the show. It wasn't until I looked on the website and saw the height/weight requirements that I began to feel as though the modeling dream was over. I was hippy and definitely nowhere near 5'9, without shoes. But then she featured a petite season and I felt as though I could still do it. I went to college, had my spinal fusion in 2013 and did not pursue modeling until June of 2017. I am so glad that I did!

Who is your inspiration in life ShaRhonda? How do you keep inspired?

My mama is my absolute inspiration in life. No matter the circumstance, she fights and overcomes them all without breaking a sweat. Knowing that and always being able to see that as a child definitely helped me today and keeps me inspired because I know that I can too, overcome any obstacle, or circumstance by putting my mind, effort, and working hard to do so. She is my Superwoman. I keep inspired by knowing that she is proud of me and the woman I am now, as well as the phenomenal woman that I'm becoming. I also keep inspired by knowing that I am the oldest of 6, my mama adopted 3 children when my aunt passed in 2011 from Colon Cancer. Knowing that I have so many eyes and hearts looking up to me, I try my best to show them that they too can overcome any obstacles and that it's important to stay true to yourself and go after what you want because being yourself, and persistence can take you such a long way.

We all make mistakes ShaRhonda, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model , you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I am recently just starting but I saw a casting call on instagram and was selected in June and I was under the impression that it was going to be three of us models. However, I soon found out it would just be two of us. I was ill prepared because I had not ever practiced modeling alongside anyone else. I only remember watching ANTM and seeing how they moved with the other models. The shoot was a wonderful experience but I definitely wish I had prepared more beforehand.

ShaRhonda ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I have worked in customer service for 7 years. I am very critical on communicating and effectively listening. I write conversation notes as well as wrote notes for myself to stay organized.

Please tell us ShaRhonda, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

I had to be strategic when first deciding that I was going to seriously begin modeling. I had to find a photographer, work on my angles, after first learning them, find clothing to shoot in, do research on posing, and even go wig shopping. I had Portfolio building shoots in Georgia as well as in multiple cities in North Carolina. I was and still am very driven and focused on bettering myself, my craft, and learning more so that I can reach potential I have only dreamt about.

ShaRhonda, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I am very detail oriented and I always listen to the way people speak as well as watch body language. As an Olive Garden hostess, I persuaded my fellow employees that my party set up idea, was the most effective because I move quickly, and I always get things done.

ShaRhonda please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
My most proud moment was my very first photo shoot, I am proud of myself for not allowing my scar or my size to stop me from doing what I love and from feeling beautiful.

ShaRhonda, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I loved working at Olive Garden because they enabled me to express myself through my clothing. I would love shopping for all black pieces, the uniform, but adding some spice to it. I would wear skirts, dresses, flannel pants, etc. which wasn't what they were used to, but the guests always loved it and I always came to work focused and got my job done.

What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Model?

Never give up on yourself and love yourself for who you are. When you look in the mirror, that's you. Love yourself and embrace yourself, flaws and all and go after what it is that you want. Never be afraid of rejection because it happens. Never compare yourself to anyone else because there are always going to be people more beautiful than you and more talented but you focus on what makes you beautiful and your talents, learn new things and unlock talent you didn't even know about. Just love yourself, stay true to yourself and never give up on your dreams.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes. I would also love to be a brand ambassador, eventually find an agency, as well as be apart of fashion shows, etc.

Now for the best part ShaRhonda! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
