Along with being a boudoir and nude model, I practice hot yoga. This, coupled with my double jointed arms, allow me to be a decent contortionist. This has created some incredible images. I skateboard, sing, write and perform poetry as well.
Sea, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion for all things artistic and creative allows me to produce some beautiful images. I think that's the wonderful part of what I do. Modelling is a way for me to express myself fully, with nothing holding me back. I'm most confident in front of the camera. I began modelling after being asked to walk for the Ogle School of Beauty 8th Annual Faceoff, as a hair model. I met some incredible people at the event, and from there began shooting and building my portfolio.
Who is your inspiration in life Sea? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration in life isn't so much a person, but rather a sensation. Inspiration is what drives you, and my driving force has always been the want to feel like I did everything I wanted. I refuse to live a life of regret, and that's why I model. Modelling has always been a dream of mine, and pursuing it to the best of my ability is my main goal.
We all make mistakes Sea; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
For the most part, all of my experience modellings has been smooth sailing. Towards the beginning of my modelling career, I had a hard time telling different photographers "no", even when I was disinterested in the project. I have since learned that I cannot meet every person's needs, and should focus only on producing the best portfolio for myself that I can.
See, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I am an extremely organized person, particularly when it comes to my weekly schedule. I confirm every shoot, ensure everyone is on the same page, get my client's phone number, etc... to make sure every shoot goes smoothly.
Please tell us Sea, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I shoot frequently and have to maintain a structured schedule, as well as organize my calendar every week. By always being aware of where I need to be and who I need to be with, I can meet all of my responsibilities and priorities.
Sea, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I don't have a specific example, as typically the photographer and I can combine our creativity and produce an image that integrates and reflects both our talents and artistic visions.
Sea, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I cried when I learned I would be walking in New York Fashion Week. That is every model's dream, and I never expected for it to happen to me so early on in my career.
Sea, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I love being able to display my personality in my work. It is difficult because I want the image to show who I am, but I want to avoid repetitive looks/poses/etc...With that in mind, however, it is exciting to brainstorm new concepts and looks for me constantly.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
I would suggest for those starting out to begin with the basics. Do a few TFP shoots, beginning with headshots, and full body shots. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there, and always be respectful of the photographer, as this is also his or her career.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I am open to all opportunity.
