I have a background in Events, Sales & Marketing in Australia. Three years ago I moved to Bali, and it changed my life. With a passion for fashion, I created my Fashion Blog to promote the ever-developing fashion scene in Bali. There are so many amazing designers and boutiques on the Island that I want to share. I also wanted to share how I have maintained my style - coming from Sydney and now living on the Island. I also have a passion and interest in healthy living and promote a wholefood product that is a perfect fit for my lifestyle here. Health and fitness are a big part of my life. Bali is a perfect fit for this lifestyle with so many amazing health cafes. Sally specialises in Fashion Blogging, Styling, Modelling, Social Media and Marketing.
Our readers would love to get to know you more Sally. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I'm Australian living an expat life in Bali. My lifestyle is one that so many people desire. Free and tropical. Every day has a new adventure, and I love sharing it with people.
Sally, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Blogger?
My passion is to continue living this lifestyle and sharing my journey. I love promoting my fashion style and how I have maintained it through my transition to Bali.
Who is your inspiration in life Sally? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration is my family. I stay inspired because I want to give them this life forever.
We all make mistakes Sally; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Blogger; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
There are some situations I wish I could have handled differently, but I always think honesty and addressing a situation as soon as you can is extremely important. Don't let things brew for too long - makes it worse!
Sally, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Blogger, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
You learn which clients require more attention than others. That way you can utilise your time best.
Please tell us, Sally , about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Blogger?
Sometimes you need to sacrifice some things you love to reach your goals.
Sally, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
When I negotiated with the boss to get a good coffee machine in the office, so people didn't spend all their time at the coffee shop!
Sally, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Blogger. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Launching my online fashion label with a girlfriend. So much hard work and dedication to get it to the launch point. It was very satisfying to see it go live.
Sally, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
The majority of my work is creative. I have always been involved in creative industries. It's exciting seeing creative projects come to life ... sometimes difficult working with designers, but when it all comes together the results are great!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Blogger?
I would say be yourself. Don't attempt to replicate someone else. You need to be authentic.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I would love collaborations. As I'm based in Bali, I'd love to collaborate with brands that have a lifestyle edge or message. I travel a lot to tropical environments, and Bali is that too, so anything that is a fit with my lifestyle and fashion style.
