Fashion Stylist

Ryan. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
I am currently studying Fashion Marketing and Management with aspirations to build my brand as a fashion stylist. I consider my style to be simple, different, and outspoken. I love to stand out because I consider my aesthetic outstanding. I've worked on many different projects that include fashion styling, creative directing, photography, and hair/makeup styling. I specialize in all of these talents and enjoy broadcasting them on my Youtube channel. I make vlogs, fashion looks, hair and makeup series and more. My Youtube name is RyanRoyalties and I like creating content for people that relate to want I'm good at. I tend to look at the bigger picture in life and explore what's beyond the ordinary.
I incorporate that in my fashion by experimenting with gender neutrals, male makeup, and unconventional looks. The one thing I want people to know about Ryan Royalties is that I tend to have the same qualities of yeast because I can make anything rise.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Ryan. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

Something unique about me is that I may be the quietest one in the room but my presence speaks louder than anything else.

Ryan, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Fashion Stylist?

My passion and aspirations all come from life events and inspiration from past generations. I use that inspiration to make what's not ordinary ordinary. I am very good am putting times together and knowing what's right and wrong. I'm very eclectic and open minded so there are no limits when it comes to my work. What makes me a Fashion Stylist is my divine eye to see what the finer things are and what the simpler things are and meshing them together. I started becoming interested in fashion my freshman year in high school. Those four years seem to be the roughest in your teenage life. What I realized about myself was that I was never worried about fitting in with everyone else because I was to bust standing out. I soon began to use my talent to help others with their style and ventured on to making a small business out of it.

Who is your inspiration in life Ryan? How do you keep inspired?

Teyana Taylor is a huge inspiration in my life. Her diversity and drive keeps me inspired. I'm never one to say that I want to be like someone else but, the qualities she possesses makes me want to perfect my craft and keep moving forward toward my biggest goal, which is to be a Fashion Mogul and start a business that provides makeovers to help people feel good about themselves.

We all make mistakes Ryan, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Fashion Stylist , you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
There was once a time where I was the head Fashion and Hair Stylist for a show I was involved in and me and my colleague, who happened to be another fashion stylist, had a difference in opinion. Instead of coming to a compromise and utilizing both of our ideas, I neglected there feedback and did what was asked for by the client. When the client was unsatisfied with my idea, we used my colleagues' and it was something that the client liked. From that situation, I've learned to skills that would help me work with others more effectively.

Ryan ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Fashion Stylist, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

Prioritizing is very important to me. I try to be fair to each client by making sure that nobody's attention is neglected and everyone's need are by using time management skills and adaptability.

Please tell us Ryan, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Fashion Stylist?

My strategy to meet my priorities mainly involves using time management, adaptability, critical thinking, and just remaining calm. I try not to let things affect the fact that this is something that I love doing.

Ryan, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I once persuaded someone to see things my way by explaining the pros and cons of the differing situations. I usually tend to have a detailed plan for everything I do and being prepared by itself makes people trust your work.

Ryan please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Fashion Stylist. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment includes a time where I was faced with over 40 models in a limited amount of time. They had to be styled, dressed, and beautified in hair and makeup all within a certain time frame. I didn't have enough help to do the job at first so, I had to ask for helping hands from friends and colleagues and train myself to work at a faster pace to get the job done. When I saw my work coming down the runway, I couldn't have been more proud of myself that i pulled the job off in the given time frame.

Ryan, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
When I first enrolled in fashion school, I had a class where the professor allowed us to sketch a few things that expressed ourselves as a stylist. Being given the opportunity to present your own work rather than a prompt or task really gave me the assurance that I am in the right field, especially when it was enjoyed by the class and faculty.

What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Fashion Stylist?

The best advice I could give is to stay true to yourself and to accept all criticism .

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I want to work with lots of people. I'm looking for styling opportunities, Youtube collaborations, editorial work and more.
