Our readers would love to get to know you more Ruthiiina. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I was born in Ethiopia and I moved to Seattle, WA when I was 6, and the moved back for a year when I was 12 and then I went to college in LA, CA for 4 years and now I am in Atlanta GA, so I love to travel and see how fashion manifests itself in different places.
Ruthiiina, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion is to learn as much I can about fashion and how it manifests in a different culture and start my simplistic line that can incorporate all that I've learned.
Who is your inspiration in life Ruthiiina? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration is to inspire others, the inspiration of others of my idols and people like Ana Winters's and Raf Simmons inspire me to learn and bring something fresh to the game.
We all make mistakes Ruthiiina; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
In modelling, you have to learn to work with different kinds of people and trust others people vision that may not agree with yours, but it would be a mistake not to be open-minded because you never know how you may grow.
Ruthiiina, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
All the clients I work with I research and try to understand their aesthetic so I can work better with them to bring their vision to life.
Please tell us Ruthiiina, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
You have to be disciplined to be a model. I watch what I eat and I workout but I choose my battles, and I stay healthy and happy.
Ruthiiina, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I show by doing so if someone doesn't see my vision I will show them but recreating the look or even doing my mini shoot, and by showing them, we can usually agree on something.
Ruthiiina, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment was working with NARs because I love how they empower women to be confident and strong.
Ruthiiina, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I once did a shoot where the foundation was dumped on my head ave it dripped down my face and body. I was nervous, but I try and focus on the end product and how it will turn out.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Be yourself, be confident and follow your bliss.
