I'm a technologist by training but have always been involved in the fine arts.
Roger, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
I compete with myself to be the best I can be. I started with a Yashica when 16 years Old.
Who is your inspiration in life Roger? How do you keep inspired?
I study other photographers and spend time with nature.
We all make mistakes Roger; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I wish I'd listened more from my advisors over the years.
Roger, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I start my day early. I plan some, wing it some and ask for Help when I need it from other photographer friends.
Please tell us, Roger, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
I was shooting a 1940s style shoot, I had not done a shoot like this and wanted the very best product for the shoot. I planned the best I could, worked with other photos to spread the work and achieved excellent results.
Roger, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
My last shoot, my client was asking about different things than initially requested and wasn't sure about my vision. I eventually convinced him of my ideas and won his trust. He was later pleased with the results.
Roger, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
When my photographer friends told me that my work was ready to be paid work.
Roger, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I was working with a client who came up with the concept and other ideas. I used my creative instincts to bring to life his vision through the use of photography.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
Study the basics and believe in your vision.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I'm interested in working with fashion creatives and style creatives as a collaborative way. I love using my vision with others to create a unique look.
