I studied drama in college and worked with a dance theatre arts company before that.
My style reflects my personality, I love to be creative in anything that I do, and I think this comes out in my images.
I usually work with fashion photographers and would love to work with independent clothing lines in the future.
Our readers would love to get to know you more Robyn. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I’m often remembered for my unique style and luminous hair!
I love 90s fashion and I’m obsessed with the fresh prince of bel air!
I’d love to compare myself to the female version of the fresh prince, my personality is larger than life, and I have my signature style.
Robyn, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
Since a young age, I’ve always been a performer so making music, dancing and acting is something I’ve got a real passion for.
Modelling however never came along as naturally as the others.
Growing up I’ve always been, so the body is conscious, I’ve continuously struggled with my weight. For years I would never wear short sleeved tops, and if you saw me in a skirt it was a miracle! Even when performing I felt trapped in my own body; I felt like I could never give 100% because I never felt 100%. I would never dream of modelling! Then the back end of 2017 I hit a wall and was at my lowest. I hadn’t performed in years, and I lost myself. I made a promise to myself that 2018 I would push myself out of my comfort zone and start being creative again. In February I had my first modelling shoot, and I never looked back! I’m still struggling with my body confidence, but I once step closer than I was and I hope to encourage others along the way!
Who is your inspiration in life Robyn? How do you keep inspired?
I wish I could say one person inspired me but I can’t. I’m inspired when I travel; I’m inspired by my friends and family who love and support me! I’m inspired by other creatives who push barriers and create change. I’d love to be able to have the following and power to make a difference in the world, making life better for others.
We all make mistakes Robyn,we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
As I’ve only just started modelling, I don’t think I’ve encountered any problems with people I’ve worked with however if I ever had any problems I don’t think I’d have regrets. As long as I know I’ve treated someone with respect they deserve then I’ll learn from the mistake and grow from it.
Robyn, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
In a hectic environment, it’s hard to keep focused. The best advice I have is to relax and enjoy the experience. It’s between you and the camera, be fierce and have fun!
Please tell us, Robyn, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
It’s all about planning! Modellings fun but like any job you have to plan how you're going to approach the shoot and work in your style. Hard work pays off!
Robyn, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I don’t think I’ve ever had to persuade anyone at work. I work with a lot of like-minded people, and I think it’s important to share ideas and try them all out.
Robyn, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment was definitely when I finished my first modelling shoot. I’m still struggling with body confidence so that day I pushed my boundaries and I’m so proud of myself.
Robyn, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
My first shoot I wanted to create images that leapt off the page. Go big or go home! The photographer I was working with really listened to what I had in mind, and he ran with it. It’s exciting to bounce ideas with someone who is exactly on your wave length. In the end, we created something amazing!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?*
Let your individuality shine! And never set yourself limits!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I’m looking to work with other creatives.
I’d love to do more fashion and lifestyle shoots but also looking to try something completely different.
In the future, I’d love to work with some independent clothing lines.
Now for the best part Robyn! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
