Here it goes, Well...my name is Richard Guzman, and I love helping people find joy and happiness in the little things in life. You can’t take life too, or you’ll miss the more beautiful things. It’s always the little things that lighten people’s day. But, with that being said, I want to leave a lasting impact on people and legacy for humanity always to cherish when I’m long gone.
Growing up with three other siblings and a single mom I always saw my mom struggling with bills and finding a way to get her children food, but she still managed to come up with what we needed to have a good life. My family hasn’t always been on the same page with each other, but I’ve learned in life to take a grain of salt with things that aren’t always positive. Going through high school I saw how my family was still staying around the same neighbourhood, following the same routine every day and not being able to chase dreams that they’ve had due to certain circumstances, so I decided to make a change for myself and my future and I ended up enlisting in the Navy on November 14th, 2015. Now, with being away from family at a young age, 20, I was forced to walk the line of life my way. I didn’t know anything other than being home with family and always having things prepared for me, but I learned how to do things on my own. I’ve grown into a man that never gives up on tasks I set my mind too. I’ve seen my family struggle and never want to go that route again if I don’t also have. I want to leave a legacy for my future family, the family now, and people I meet to look and see what’s accomplishable no matter where you come from and live. Good or bad. I love where I’m at today, but I’m not satisfied. There’s always room for success, so I’ll continue to get where I want to be in life.
