I have a true passion for modelling, so I have the ability to connect with the camera and photographer really, to create beautiful, meaningful images that attract the viewers. I have the power to put all emotion into each photograph, so everyone becomes unique.
Rhean, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I started modelling through the internet; I aspire to travel the world to fulfil my dream of becoming a role model to many people, maybe even an icon, to provide people with knowledge and emotion through a simple image
Who is your inspiration in life Rhean? How do you keep inspired?
Marilyn Monroe, she is a true icon. I look up to her and aspire to be like her, she empowered women and helped them understand its ok not to be perfect.
We all make mistakes Rhean; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
One of my first paid shoots, I felt quite uncomfortable with the environment and atmosphere, and what was being asked of me; I was being paid, so I took all direction, but I learned not ever to let myself be in a situation where I felt like that again.
Rhean, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
Learning to delegate time is important, and communication is key, always reply, and inform clients of your availability, prioritise most importantly and provide a schedule of availability so clients know when they can book you.
Please tell us Rhean, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
My top priorities include punctuality and professionalism. To make sure I arrive on time or early if possible, understand how long each task will take in order to be on time along with being professional and friendly. I learned this from a time my train was delayed and was almost unable to make the booking, so I had to think on the spot and find another route in order to make it on time.
Rhean, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
On my first lingerie shoot, I felt a little vulnerable so instead of feeling like prey to a predator, I asked if he would imagine himself as the prey to empower me a little, and also turn down the regular lighting a little so I felt more comfortable.
Rhean, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
The moment I got booked for a high-end photographer! I learned a lot from him and was told what to be careful of and how to fulfil my time as a model
Rhean, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
A time I was told to bring whatever clothing I wanted which was difficult to string together outfits without knowing the studio or lighting, we would also be working outdoors, but towards the end of the day I got to do some splash paint images, capturing paint mid-air being thrown at me, which was thrilling and different
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Just be yourself, never put yourself down and don't allow yourself to get into uncomfortable scenarios, you do have a voice, and you are important
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
