ABOUT

My name is Pierre Tribe. I am a high-end fashion model for many clothing brands. I am currently attending SCAD for my Bachelor's degree in fashion design and Fine Arts. I have been working in this field for five years now.
I strongly believe that fashion is not just about wearing clothes, it is an art. I believe it's all in the details when it comes to fashion. I love European designers; they leave nothing undone. I like the feel and the cuts of each piece, you know a euro suit when you see one.
Modelling for me is a big passion of mines, and I plan to keep building and advancing my work in the near future. My strengths are creativity, coming up with different styling ideas and making the ideas come to life. I've worked with models from Chenal to Gucci. Also, I have been to many fashion weeks all over the country and met many different designers along the way. I have proudly been around the industry of fashion models since I was 11 years old.

Pierre, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I started as a fashion designer, designing pieces from all the inspirations I have around me. Then was introduced into the modelling career from a former model for Chanel. We did a photo shoot, and it was all uphill from there. I fell in love with high fashion.

Who is your inspiration in life Pierre? How do you keep inspired?

I stay inspired every day knowing the goals and dreams I have set for myself are achievable. Also, never lose hope because I know through hard work and dedication to my passion I will succeed.

We all make mistakes Pierre; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

One mistake while being a model at first was different facial expressions and emotions that I lacked. My coach tried to teach me several techniques, but I did not take in what he was saying. I had trouble expressing at shoots, and I had to overcome that to have what it takes to be flawless on and off the runway and photo shoots. I have taken the time to study not only others but myself to show the emotions and expressions that show in my images. Now I wish I would have taken in everything he said because I have learned that good advice and mentorship is the key to success.

Pierre, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

I strive to give every one of my clients the same quality shots as I would do with my work. I would prioritise it based on the task of what is required but always paying attention to every detail. I would also make them feel like they are getting my 100% and a quality job. When a client feels like a result is worth it, they will be patient and more understanding if you have other things on your plate.

Please tell us, Pierre, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

As a Model its all about strategies and tactics to pull you through, I was modelling for a particular clothing brand of a colleague, and we needed to acquire some high-end brand pieces from the store, and I walked in and showed them what we're doing and my previous work with them and the offered to let us use some of their pieces for the rest of the photoshoot. I also assured them of the credit they would receive. I feel like networking, being assertive and personable will pull me through some tough times as a model.

Pierre, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

I think the same example will apply here:

Pierre, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

My proudest moment as a model was doing a shoot for my own brand not only was I able to model great pieces; it was my brand I designed and made.

Pierre, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

I feel like I'm creative with everything I do, take my Instagram, my photos and my designs for example. I am also a photo editor, so I love adding new twist and ideas to images to make them come to life. The exciting part is when I travel for companies and work with all types of groups and brands. The difficult part of it being away from family and friends.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Study your craft then perfect it.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?

Yes, I would love to. I am looking for high fashion and also creative art expression as well.
