I am a very open and spontaneous person; I go where the wind takes me whether I put everything at stake.
Paula, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I thrive to grow to be the best I can be through my dreams of becoming a model and travelling the world.
Who is your inspiration in life Paula? How do you keep inspired?
My father is my inspiration. He comes from a very poor background, and since he was a teenager, he was responsible for his basic living standards. And he fought against all obstacles, and now he is a successful businessman. Just thinking of his life and what he went through motivates me.
We all make mistakes Paula; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
When I used to work as a waitress, there was a girl who just acted like a know-it-all. I guess instead of speaking to her openly and creating a better atmosphere, I was very passive aggressive. For example, if she'd tell me to do something I'd tell her that she has legs that she can move.
Paula, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I ensure to stay proactive and use my active listening to ensure I personalise my expertise to the clients.
Please tell us, Paula, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I currently have a full-time job, studying masters degree in business management and trying to achieve as a model. Thinking strategically is what I have to do every day, the thing I continuously do is scheduling, so I ensure I do my priorities on time even if it means lack of sleep.
Paula, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
When I had a photoshoot with blue rooms the photographer was taking photos from the bottom angle, but I know I have quite muscly legs as I workout, so I knew the shots were not going t look great. I asked her to consider that, and she agreed, the shots turned out great!
Paula, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
When I got my acceptance letter to the university. I was the first one in my whole family to get into university, and this was just a shock to my family and me.
Paula, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
As a start-up model, I am trying ways to encourage people, so I get to be seen by agencies and companies. So I get some of my friends to take some photos just around the house or in a park, its so much fun because I get to do what I love and do all sorts of poses!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Stay persuasive and don't give up.. industry is tough, but you can only power through.
