Everyone unique in their way, but I see myself as a young woman wanting more from life than just a 9-5, so I put in work when it comes to my craft. It doesn't matter if I'm awake for 24 hours I'm going to make sure my job is done just like I envisioned it.
PALOMA, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as Brand?
My passion and aspiration in life are my imaginations, my inspiration from social media to travelling around the world seeing so many beautiful pieces or art. sometimes the smallest things can inspire me like a seashell lol. I started my brand 3 years ago when I first began dressing up to take pictures for Instagram with my iPhone.
Who is your inspiration in life PALOMA? How do you stay inspired as a Brand?
My inspiration in life is all the small fashion designers I come across on social media because I think to myself if they did it why can't I make my dream come true. I stay inspired by remembering how far I have come, and also by looking at others success.
We all make mistakes PALOMA; we wish we could take back. What was the mistake you made in the past that you wish you can take back?
Yes, we do. One mistake I wish I could take back is I wish I would've started my brand earlier. But I'm here now, and I'm not stopping, so that's all that matters now.
PALOMA, How do you describe yourself in terms of working with clients?
I describe myself as understander if that makes sense. I'm good at listening and incorporating ideas others have with my original ideas. I always want my clients to be happy with my work, but I also let it be known my vision is what will make it pop.
Please tell us PALOMA, how do you prioritise work, social life, friends, and family?
It gets hard, but everything is manageable, I have a little notebook I carry with me at all times. This notebook is my holy grail because I write down all my goals, budgets, and to do list that way I stay on top of my tasks.
PALOMA, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
There was this one time I was putting together a fashion show with over 20 models. The designer wanted models in specific walks or clothing, but with the vision I already had I explained to him, and that would not work, and if you want your show to be entertaining we would have to do it my way. and it was that easy to convince someone who was stressed and wanted a perfect show
PALOMA, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Brand.
I wake up proud every day, every day I accomplish something new and scratch off plenty of things off my notebook. I'm a work in progress.
PALOMA, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Now I am working on 3 signature pieces that inspired me. I'm creating these for myself as samples, and for a small fashion show, I'm putting together. It's exciting to know my very first pieces will be in a fashion show hosted by myself and others, but it's difficult when you don't have much time everything needs to be rushed, and I don't like rushed I love when my pieces come out dam near perfect.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Brand?
My advice would be to work on your brand every day, and don't look at the numbers or income you're getting to remember why you started, and you're doing something you love. And eventually, all the hard work is going to pay off.
