Fashion Stylist

I'm a fashion retailer, my interests and personality line up well with this role. Cause I am a social person, and am very comfortable approaching people. I’m also a fashionista in every sense of the word. I follow all the latest fashion, and try to stay up to date on the latest trends. I feel like that’s given me a good sense of color and style – most of my family and friends come to me to help them decide what to wear.

I also know a lot about Online shopping; I’ve been shopping Online since I was 16 and I'm now at the age of 28. That's why with a lot of positive feedback I have decided to launch my own online store. Where I can display some of the most beautiful pieces of art from selected vendors that I myself have been close to since forever.

So welcome to my new online store Rose Kloset!

Where you can be up to date with the latest in Ladies fashion in accessories. Shop handcrafted pieces from selected designers, and handpicked vendors.

Choose from our Luxury Chokers, Customized Swarovski & Gems Sunglasses, Genuine Watch Sets, Body Chains, Trendy Instyle Sunglasses, and so much more! But above all, we believe in bringing value to every single one of you by providing exquisite quality & exceptional service.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Onella. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

Well for me it's easy for fashion entrepreneurs to fall in love with their ideas and products. But remember, the success of your business will depend on whether you can respond to the needs of your target customer.

I find myself unique. Why?i remove yourself from the role of fashion entrepreneur and put myself in my customer’s shoes. Then I ask myself, “Why should I buy from you?” How can I differentiate my suppliers brands by speaking directly to the needs of every customer in a way that is different from the competition?

Along with being a fashionista, you need to play psychoanalyst too. It’s not enough to understand just your customers’ needs, but also what drives and motivates them.

There are lots of factors that contribute to why we buy what we do. Understanding this about your customer is one way you might be able to make any fashion brand stand out. Beauty brands are masters of this that's why they are guru's to this. And I sole heartedly believe in this myself.

Onella, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Fashion Stylist?

I always say well if you’re as fierce as Gisele Bundchen, know your Prada from your Primark and know what’s bang on trend in every season, then a career in fashion retail is right up your catwalk.

Ok I might not be working at London’s Fashion Week or partying with designers, but I still get to work surrounded by clothes and accessories which is close enough.

And my love for making customers happy is the reason why I do what I do. I have been working on the side and employed as a supervisor of a 5 star hotel in my hometown well since my early 20's. Hurricane Irma just recently came and took that all away in less that 4 hours. But if it wasn't for my love and passion for fashion I would been unemployed. if not for God and my online store, my clients and customers, my soul would been incomplete.

Who is your inspiration in life Onella? How do you keep inspired?

My mother is my inspiration. She keeps me motivated and grounded to keep pushing forward.

We all make mistakes Onella, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Fashion Stylist , you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Well with my team, I have yet to really say I have made mistakes. Seeing that they are virtual employees. Lol. But I will say that going into this business, don't ever loose sight on your own store. I did in the past let some negative comments put me down where I reach to a point I wanted to gave up. But now I am grateful for those negative comments and feedbacks, because if it was not for them I would not have known what I was doing wrong. I would not have changed my shipping methods. Or stop using some venders and trying out new approaches. Or continue striving to learn the new in technology to help make my online store shopping experience so much more better.

Onella ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Fashion Stylist, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

My clients are all unique and have there own demands and requests. I try my best in meeting their needs and if not I guarentee them another service to apply to accomplish that need.

Please tell us Onella, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Fashion Stylist?

This year during hurricane Harvey and hurricane Irma I must say was the hardest. I did free express shipping on all orders just so my clients can receive their orders before the storm hit Texas. Also when the storm hit my hometown my sources were all down for 3 weeks and more. I lost a lot of files and business documents and had to start over from scratch. Everything was completed lost in that hurricane. But being able to gain friendships with your clients and customers helped me to relaunch and continue to do what I do.

Onella, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
There was a time when I wanted to design my site with a theme that lets just say was a little too much going on. After speaking with my team and support they were the ones who actually persuaded me to go simple to customers don't get sidetracked with all the extra. Shout out to them for always pointing my business in the right path!

Onella please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Fashion Stylist. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
Opening my store online. Having to go through getting my seller ID, to IRS, to setting up merchants gateways and getting declined and never having to try again. Getting a degree in business is a big accomplishment but also putting that degree into a experience is to me by far the biggest and proudest moment in my life.

Onella, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Fashion Stylist?

That do not let the "No's" and "You will never make it" stop you from your vision. Only you can make that vision or dream a reality. And if you do not believe in your own vision, how can you make someone else believe in it also? Be consistent and don't stop pushing until you reach the Sky's limit!

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
