I have always had a strong passion for modeling and have respected all of the hard work that goes behind it. Photography, in the modeling world, can be seen as a form of self-expression because it gives models the opportunity to branch out and be themselves while also trying new things. I love modeling because of it something that holds true meaning for me. I occasionally model for Hamlett Photography, but for the most, I take and edit my photos. I also took makeup and modeling classes at John Casablanca's and worked as a spokes-model for Wetseal clothing store.
Our readers would love to get to know you more Olivia . Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I like to think of myself as an artistic individual. I truly love the Arts and all of the opportunities it holds for creativity. I love to painting, singing, and modeling because I feel that those things have had a huge impact on shaping the person I am today. Art is a stress reliever for me and honestly something I dearly enjoy.
Olivia, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
I had an interest in modeling ever since I was relatively young. I used to/still do take pictures of myself to try and see how the difference in lighting/poses can affect the photos. I started out taking pictures with Hamlett Photography for prom and then continued to more professional photos now.
Who is your inspiration in life Olivia ? How do you keep inspired?
I have always admired Gigi Hadid for her modeling work and personality because she is very dedicated and professional about what she does. Although, I also really adore Nora O'Neil, Marilyn NY Agency model, because she is unique and original. Nora inspires me because she started out as someone who was not noticed for her modeling talents, yet she continued to strive for her dreams and is now finally getting to where she's always wanted to be.
We all make mistakes Olivia; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
There is not really a certain time throughout my modeling experiences that I would want to take back because there is always something I can learn from them. There were a few times, when I was working with Hamlett Photography, where the photos would not come out as the photographer wanted them to so we would just switch up the poses and shoot again until it came out perfectly.
Olivia ,when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I am usually pretty flexible with my schedule and am willing to work with the clients and their needs.
Please tell us Olivia , about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
There were times when I had to be very focused and set on getting the shoot done. Depending on when and how the photographer wanted the photos to be set up determined the outcome of the shoot. I had to always be ready for what was next and how to go about it.
Olivia , please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I try and keep an open mind when looking at things. If someone is stumped in their thoughts/ideas I try and offer my opinions in return to try and allow them to see things from a different perspective. If certain modeling poses weren't satisfying to the photographer I would branch out and try new ones to see if it helped improve the photos and most of the time it did.
Olivia please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
Whenever one of my photos is complete and I post it, it excites me when modeling agencies or professional models themselves reach out to me and comment on it. It is rewarding because it encourages me to keep up my modeling work and post more often.
Olivia , please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I love when I am able to to choose the poses during the photo shoots because that is when I can express my creativity in a fun way. The photos always come out amazing and you can tell within them that it was an overall great experience.
What advice would you give to the people who wants to be successful as a Model?
To be successful at modeling one has to be confident and able to take constructive criticism because that is what the business is about. It is not only about having fun, but also trying to be the best at what you do and knowing how to accomplish that.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I would love to do collaborations with other models, magazines, videos, catalogs, and stores as well.
