What is unique about me is that I see the uniqueness in everyone else. I see myself in everyone I meet. The good and the bad and I see the beauty of humanity because it's incredible that we exist.
Nohemi, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion is art. Art in every sense, drawing, singing, dancing, modelling, acting, etc. I love taking a blank canvas and creating life through my actions. I aspire to inspire others to acknowledge and understand who they are. I started as a model back in Atlanta while I was at Georgia state university. I participated in their fashion show, and from there I've been blessed with great opportunities.
Who is your inspiration in life Nohemi? How do you keep inspired?
I have many people who inspire me. Honestly, if you have a triumphing testimony from how you overcame your obstacles, then you already inspired me. But if it had to be narrowed down to one person, it would be Michael Jackson lol. I keep inspired by looking at interviews of people I admire such as Maya Angelou, Jay Z, and of course Michael Jackson to name a few.
W.e all make mistakes Nohemi; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
With my old agency, I wish I would've voiced my opinion as soon as I felt it instead of bottling it up inside until I had no other choice but to say how I felt, but the timing was wrong cause I waited so long.
Nohemi, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
Of course by having a conversation on what their needs are and then by knowing what I can deliver I handle accordingly.
Please tell us Nohemi, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I had to be very honest with the clients I felt I can have an open conversation with and ask them if we can work around my schedule so I could work with the clients that weren't as lenient.
Nohemi, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I wrote out how I felt in a very professional manner and presented it to them. Professionalism takes you a long way.
Nohemi, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest moment would be when I booked a Smucker's commercial shoot. It was my first big Photoshoot, so that was a moment where I knew I was on the right path and more good things were coming.
Nohemi, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Well modelling in general I get to be creative all the time with my work cause I am the one making the decisions of how I pose, etc., so that's always exciting
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Don't wait for someone to tell you yes. You have to say yes to yourself first and move accordingly. With how technology is today, you don't need a big agency to get booked for gigs if you're persistent.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, always more photographers, designers, and makeup artists
