Firstly Nelson, how would you best describe yourself?

Would you like us to recommend you to clients looking for a  Photographer near your area?

Nelson, please tell us your talent/work rate per hour?

Nelson. Tell us ABOUT yourself.
I studied Filmmaking and Photography at the San Francisco University in Ecuador. After some years I approved the master in cinematography and photography.
I have worked in advertising companies, and that helped me to pay attention to little details. Right now I have been developing my own style as a freelance photographer, trying to communicate emotions in every shoot.
I am really good communicating with my clients since I always know what do I want before the shoot. Right now I specialize in fashion like streetstyle and lookbook, supporting me until the chance to get into high fashion shoots.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Nelson. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I think that my most important attribute is the communication with the client. I do not shoot only with models, also with particulars who want to have nice photos and look like a model. And the most of my clients stand out my communication flow to make feel comfortable all the time.

Nelson, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?

I always got inspired by fashion photography; it always attracted to me. I started a few years ago shooting my wife, she started a blog, and I started the adventure shooting fashion portrait, lookbook and lifestyle. Since that moment I discovered passion inside of me, something that I would like to do the rest of my life. That workflow, working with a model, standing out an outfit, and choosing correctly all the composing and technical elements, is what makes me happy, have fun and enjoy that moment.

Who is your inspiration in life Nelson? How do you keep inspired?

I keep always looking for new campaigns, also watching social networks from Instagram for example, I follow photographers whom I identify myself. I don't get inspired by one person, in particular, there are so many talented people out there, I get inspired with the shoots.

We all make mistakes Nelson; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I have been a short time in fashion photography, but always integrated into it, fortunately is my full-time job. So I really don't have to regret about a specific situation yet, but I have learned that since the first contact with colleagues or clients, you must establish all the points clear. I did have a few inconvenient with friends. No matter what, keep it a professional protocol.

Nelson , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I do no t give priority to any shoot, even if it is a shot client or a big one. I believe in energy, the workflow is energy and is what you attract. I always try to give the best in every single job, and that will bring me more. If I know I can't complete a job the way it is supposed to be done; I simply don't take it.

Please tell us, Nelson, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?

One of the most common mistakes of photographers, especially when you are starting, is the fact that they don't know about the genre in fashion photography. For me is really important to have learned that because I know in what I am focused right now, I know my limitations. If someone offers me a job as beauty photography, for example, I prefer to reject it, because I don't have the proper stuff and knowledge. I focus on what I specialize that right know is lookbook, lifestyle and portraits. So that let me know my priorities as a photographer.

Nelson, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I think this situation os there in every single shoot. Clients sometimes are confused, or they know exactly what they want, in both situations they try to interfere your job, that's normal. But I know that I as a photographer must stand up for my point of view, I always try to defend it and convince the client that this is the correct way that it should be done. For example, the most common situation I face right now is to convince the client to shoot in the location I have scouted, because it fits with the outfit, with complementary colours and context.

Nelson, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
As I am few time in fashion, I think that the proudest moment was when I got one of my first paid book, well paid. It was for a model from Venezuela, she was visiting Madrid and contacted me for a lookbook shoot. The workflow was great, the results I loved it. That inspired me to keep chasing my goals.

Nelson, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I remember the time when my wife's blog started to grow up. We had to create a concept for the photography, that was really difficult to give it an identity. But it was exiting to look for references and keep shooting until that time that we said ok it's done we got it!

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?

Understand every genre of photography and develop his career in that way.
