I love seeing different cultures around the world and would love to travel to every continent in the world. I'm unique because I am so career driven and have been dreaming ever since I was little about my career. I also can do the splits!
Natalie, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Blogger?
I remember back in 2013 one of my classmates in college suggested I should start my own blog since I was interested in journalism. I was excited about the idea and the thought of owning my own website where I got to publish my own content. Since then I have been blogging ever since! My aspiration is to be a great model for young girls & women of all races in the media industry and to show them that it IS possible to live your dream no matter your background. I'm still working towards that dream.
Who is your inspiration in life Natalie? How do you keep inspired?
Family & Faith. These two things keep me going each and every day. I'm lucky enough to have the drive that I've had for as long as I can remember to go all the way no matter what... I believe that is the only way to succeed.
We all make mistakes Natalie, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Blogger, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
When I first started blogging, I didn't know how to grow my blog and became frustrated that it didn't look as good as other successful bloggers. Then one day, I saw a comment from an anonymous user saying ' this is a really great blog, keep going!' or something like that. Since then I kept uploading to my blog and the reader and views grew.
Natalie, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Blogger, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
When brands contact me, I always make sure that we both see eye to eye in new concepts and blog post ideas. It's important to have great communication and manage your time well...showing professionalism and loyalty goes a long way, and most importantly, give you more opportunities.
Please tell us, Natalie, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Blogger?
Before there were times when I had to cut down days on my day job and studies so that I had time to blog for an event or do collaborations with a company - it was hard sometimes but it was all worth it.
Natalie, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
When I was being interviewed for the potential chance of being part of a magazine company, I gave them so many reasons why I was a good choice ...we ended up speaking for an hour and got the job there and then.
Natalie, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Blogger. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
My proudest accomplishment was being invited by a company to blog and present at a huge African music concert in London. Not to mention Jay-Z's streaming service 'TIDAL' was also there so I made some good connections.
Natalie, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I am lucky enough to be able to write my own scripts and come up with new video ideas for a small company. The company and I have great work ethics so any creative work was done is always put into practice
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Blogger?
You hear this all the time but consistency is key. Blog as much as you can every other week. Get yourself out there, connect with people in the business, go to events... use social media! All of these things can give you a great start into being a successful blogger. The more people know about your blog, the more opportunities you'll get.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands, and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Definitely, I am looking to collaborate with fashion brands to come up with the new blog post and video ideas to promote new clothes, shoes, accessories. Also, I'm looking to take me presenting abroad and have brands sponsor me to promote their events to a wider audience.
Now for the best part Natalie! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
