I am a left-handed martial artist. That makes me a southpaw fighter which is rare. I won my championship belt in the US Muay Thai Open Tournament in May 2017, and I cannot wait to step back into the ring again. To those who have not been acquainted with Muay Thai: it is a martial arts from Thailand. The moves include the eight limbs: boxing, kicking, kneeing and elbows! I train 5-6x a week so that I can be ready for my next fight

Nancy, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I was insecure in my youth because I didn't like my features. Once I realised that it's ok to be different, I wanted to model. Soon after, I enrolled in a modelling school. Ever since then, I met some talented people along the way who guided me into the world of freelance. I hope to be a signed model soon. My heart is in Muay Thai martial arts and modelling. I also take passion in writing and aim to publish a book in 2018

Who is your inspiration in life Nancy? How do you keep inspired?

One of my many inspirations includes Jackie Chan. I grew up watching his movies and interviews. He did all his stunts and was fueled by his passion. He is now a very notable man in the acting and martial arts world.

We all make mistakes Nancy; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.

I remember I was at a photo shoot that was unorganised. They asked me to pose in a way that I didn't think will look good for me since it would look disrespectful to my culture. I didn't want to offend them, so I did it, but now that I think back, I wish I didn't. Good thing those photos never got chosen for the edits. I wished that I was able to stand up for myself and educate the people there about how it was disrespectful

Nancy, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?

I like to meet before the shoot happens and go over expectations so I don't get into a project confused and full of questions. I like to come prepared.

Please tell us, Nancy, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

When working with multiple talents such as human, designers, photographers and videographers: I had to pay attention to every aspect and make sure I'm delivery all expectations

Nancy, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.

There was a mum applying one certain lipstick to every model she had, but it didn't look suitable for everyone, so I politely talked to her about it. She thanked us for our feedback and reexamined her work. She switched it up, and we all had lips that look appealing on us as a result, and everyone was happy

Nancy, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?

I was chosen for two magazines for my fusion photos of martial arts and modelling. That was a goal for the year, and I achieved it!

Nancy, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?

It was exciting! Most shots, there's already a game plan and expectations. For a particular shoot I did, I was told that I could do any poses that I want and I have the power to choose the location. Those photos were one of my favourites that I've ever done, and they receive the most recognition so far

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

What I noticed is that a lot of new models are quite gullible to scam. I want to encourage everyone to do their research before going out to a shoot because you never know who you are running into And do research if you get a message that sounds too good to be true. There are a lot of predators out there, and we need to take care of each other so don't be afraid to ask other talents for advice. Don't take every other model as a competition, take them as like a mentor.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?

I am looking to collaborate with more photographers, magazines, fashion talents and fashion designers, and runway Shows who are open to shorter models.
