Our readers would love to get to know you more Naiomi. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

The way I dress is different. Very fashionable. My grandmother was a fashion designer in her time so my mom always had the latest fashions and I grew up to being Interested with anything that has to do with beauty. I studied cosmetology so I'm great at doing both hair and makeup which is s plus for my modeling career.

Naiomi, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

My passion is modeling. My aspiration is to become an actress. I started as a model when I went to beauty school In BX, NY. I had my first photo shoot in Queens NY.

Who is your inspiration in life Naiomi? How do you keep inspired?

My inspiration in life is Marilyn Monroe. She was multi-talented. Singer, model, and actress. Her beauty made a mark on everyone's heart. She was intelligent and had a great career. I want to be just as successful as her. I keep inspired by doing things that will help me with my dream career. Taking training classes for acting and doing several photo shoots.

We all make mistakes Naiomi, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
The makeup artist did not blend my makeup too well before the photo shoot. The photographer was trying to do photos focused on my eyes. I remember she didn't put any eyeliner so after he showed me a couple shots I went ahead and walked away to my bag and grabbed an eyeliner. I had one of the models apply it for me then that became perfect for the pictures. The makeup artist said bye to me very cold after I said: " thanks for doing my makeup" right before leaving the set. So I know she felt offended. But as a model, I needed to make sure I looked my best.

Naiomi, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I always remind myself about tasks I do by writing them on my notes on my iPhone and also making sure that I wrote them in my calendar. Just always 2 steps ahead of clients so that I can be organized.

Please tell us Naiomi, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

Packing my bag a day before the photo shoot and ironing anything that might look wrinkly. Make sure to put an alarm to wake me up on time so I have enough time to get ready and get the photo shoot location on a good scheduled time frame.

Naiomi, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
A customer thought that an advertised 10% discount for the store was applied to the makeup as well. I explained to the customer that prestige makeup did not have that coupon applied to it that it was only for clothing. She seemed upset but I kept cool and she said ask your manager. I spoke to him over the walking talking and he said the same thing I explained on speaker. She heard and said oh girl don't worry I don't care it's only 10% I'll buy it. So I told her to see I wasn't lying girl I would have given you the 10% with no problem but it's not always available because the makeup is quality. She said sorry for giving you a hard time girl. I was like yeah no problem!

Naiomi please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Last well now in July 2017 I did a photo shoot at Far Rockaway queens where I was able to do a photo shoot at Far Rockaway beach in Queens NY. Te experience was great. Took pictures with plants and all.

Naiomi, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
For modeling, I was able to do my own makeup for a promotional shoot. What was exciting is that I know how to make my foundation go perfectly with my skin as much as my high light. I know the width and length of my nose so I know how to make my nose look perfect. The difficult part is if I want to put in colored contacts to not mess up my eyeliner or mascara after I'm done doing my makeup.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Be organized, have several cloths to change in, carry your charger where ever you go, take care of any scars you may have with special creams, and make sure your hair, feet, and nails are looking ravishingly at all times. Every detail counts for the photo shots.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands, and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I'm interested in Black Pyramid, Fashion Nova, and Lux Noire.

Now for the best part Naiomi! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
