My insatiable drive. As much as I know somethings cannot be completed in a day, it doesn't stop me from trying.
Naim, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion and aspirations are to travel and see the natural world wonders, coupled with connecting with people. Through modelling I have seen the power of networking, and just how chaotic and interesting it can make the life. I started modelling when a co-star`s agency spotted me on a screenplay
Who is your inspiration in life Naim? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration is Malcolm x, after reading lots about him. I decided that if I am half the man he was I am doing well. I keep inspired by doing things outside my comfort; this leads me to shout I need to improve, I need to be better
We all make mistakes Naim; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
My first catwalk for one, my preconceptions blinded me. I thought everyone was going to be snobby so I avoided interaction with any of the models. foolishly, as they turned out to be lovely; quickly reverting to my sociable self
Naim, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
Listening is key but also throwing your creativity in there. As I can give 100 to something, I can visualise too.
Please tell us, Naim, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
Getting a diary, chasing up all my clients and logging dates and times with them.
Naim, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
One of my latest shoots I saw some bollards that were colour coordinated with my outfit, I alerted him to this and pushed the ethos that I didn't want our pictures to be good, I wanted great. He obliged.
Naim, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Currently, it was my second shot with one, when I saw 300 plus images and only disliked about 5. It was the first time It all clicked, I had finally cracked the camera and was elated by the improvement.
Naim, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Working with a London photographer he screamed energy, he set the tone by saying I don't want your average static pictures. Give me rage, give me you. From here I was climbing, jumping and vaulting things. It was both exciting and a hell of a workout.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Stay open-minded, polite and patient. Appreciate everyone around you; modelling is a game of contacts. Be approachable and do not be afraid to approach.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Mainly high fashion I love Zara, dress head to toe in it. I wouldn't mind doing something with supreme I think their edgy style would allow for some super quirky pictures.
