ABOUT
Hi there! My name is Morgan Buckner, and I am originally from Northern Virginia. Right now I work in Washington DC after completing my degree in Information Science.

I started a blog about a year ago but soon realized my real love is showing off the kinds of clothes I love to wear. Since then I have focused on trying my best to be a positive body advocate for those who do not have a voice.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Morgan. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

I ruptured my Achilles when I was in my sophomore year of college, I had to go through the process of walking again, and I feel it made me stronger and more resilient because of it.

Morgan, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I think my biggest passion is spreading the word you don't have to be a certain body type to be beautiful and comfortable in your skin. If you feel comfortable with yourself that is all that matters. I started on Instagram and that's mostly where I stay right now!

Who is your inspiration in life Morgan? How do you keep inspired?

I think my biggest inspiration is Ashley Graham, she is so positive and determined it is truly inspiring! The biggest way I get inspired is by telling myself there are millions of other people out there that are trying to go for exactly what you want, if you are trying to get there you have to work ten, twenty times as hard.

We all make mistakes Morgan; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
The one time I wished I handled things differently was actually with a company, not a colleague. A company asked me to promote their product, so I looked up other people I knew who promoted this brand, I watched what they did and said about the product, and I felt confident because I was going with what people I trusted said...it turns out they just wanted the gig. The product barely worked, and it would have been really bad to promote it and not believe in it. The company was not happy that I had to back out, but I feel if you put yourself and your integrity first then you're staying true to yourself.

Morgan , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

Prioritizing and planning are such a huge aspect of the life we're living. No matter what you're doing, be it modelling or just living life, you need to assess what you are CAPABLE of doing and only put yourself up for exactly what you know you can do. Do not over schedule yourself or commit to something you're not able to fulfil.

Please tell us Morgan, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

On Instagram, there will be lots of companies that will ask you to rep their stuff. They will reach out and just send things in return for you posting pictures. When it comes to those, you have to make sure to pick and chose what you can handle. There were one six companies that all wanted posts on the same week, picking exactly what matches the brand you are going for.

Morgan, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
I think the best part of collaborating is that it's not exactly about persuading things to your way, compromising is seriously always the best way to go. Typically it comes up with new ideas for doing things!

Morgan, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I think hitting 100 thousand people who are supporting what I'm trying to put out, there was just such a heartwarming moment. There were people who believed in what I believed in!

Morgan, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I am lucky always to be creative with my work! No one wants to see the same thing over and over again; you always have to come up with new looks, new poses, new ideas!

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Be PERSISTENT. You already know what giving up feels like, maybe try another mindset!

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I am! I am looking for all sorts of collaborations, reach out and we can see if we can come up with something!

Now for the best part Morgan! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
