Our readers would love to get to know you more Monet. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I am an aspiring actress and model who loves to promote different images of models and people of all different shades and sizes.
Monet, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
Acting and modeling. I am also a financial advisor for AIU. I started modeling when I get let go from my first job fresh out of college. I received a phone call and it went up from there.
Who is your inspiration in life Monet? How do you keep inspired?
Success stories inspire me. No matter how hard it gets you have to keep going. I stay inspired by reading.
We all make mistakes Monet, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
I haven't encountered a situation in modeling that I wish I could've handled differently. I give everyone the same respect that I expect to receive with a warm smile.
Monet, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I prioritize by dates and time. Planning very carefully and making sure that I follow up with the clients about any changes that may occur and their needs.
Please tell us, Monet, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I had been very strategic in making sure that the client was satisfied. My top priority is the client. I had a client reach out to me because they wanted a special look with the hairstyle that had seen me wear in my portfolio. I made sure the same person did my hair to complete the look.
Monet, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
One time I felt as if something wasn't ethical. I pulled the individual to the side to speak with them instead of taking in an open area. I wanted to know their opinion even though we did not agree at the moment. When we both have our sides, we came to a common ground.
Monet, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
The proudest moment as a model was seeing my self-grow when I had a photoshoot with one of the top photographers in Chicago. I saw growth in many areas, but only someone who has been with me from the start would be able to feel as proud as I am.
Monet, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I was really creative in putting together pieces for my photoshoot. My stylist had an emergency and I still had a photoshoot. The stylist had my pieces with them. I had to quickly find new pieces and I ended up with a masterpiece!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
My advice is to be fearless in anything that you do.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands, and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I am looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands, and others. I am open to creativity.
Now for the best part Monet! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
