I am studying at the Alvin Ailey school; I am in the Certificate program for dance. I moved to New York to pursue a career in modeling or dance. My training started in highschool; I went to Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Arts. My love for dance and modeling started at the age of three.
Our readers would love to get to know you more Molly. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
My eyes. You look into them and you are reminded of a beautiful glacier, a full ice, majestic stare. Also, off topic, but this is my 16th year dancing.
Molly, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
My passion is to leave this Earth being remembered. I want to mean something to somebody. I truly started when I got a callback from a modeling company but turns out I was too short.
Who is your inspiration in life Molly? How do you keep inspired?
Misty Copeland is my inspiration; she reminds me even if you start small, you can make huge things happen.
We all make mistakes Molly; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Tripping as I was getting up from an interview with a manager from this modeling company. She scolded me for wearing heels I couldn't handle. I wished I had handled the situation better by wearing more stable heels.
Molly , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
Focusing on one task at a time. No multi tasking, striving for near perfection.
Please tell us, Molly, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
Planning a meal plan and keeping fit while working and being a student.
Molly, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
People want to see the big picture, a coworker of mine thought my plan would fail, but all I had to do was explain. Your thinking needs to be precise and clear.
Molly, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share to everyone. What is it and why?
There is no proudest moment yet. I might not have experienced it yet!
Molly, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Improvisation is always a challenge, but let go and not thinking helps my art come out.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Never stop pushing. It seems like only mountains are in your path. It only takes hard work to make those mountains into bridges.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I am hoping to share my ideas and learn new arts if I were to collaborate.
My photographer is Peter Haston, featured on my Instagram.
