As a young designer, I see my designs conveying the message of everyday experiences. Influenced by music, films, and art. Each garment showcases a foundation of future fashion, expressing these ideals through authentic craftsmanship and unique originality.
I believe as a menswear designer, clothing should be an incorporation of functionality and form, pulling from various utilitarian components in its design, reworking wardrobe staples with progressive executions.
What are your goals and how do you see yourself progressing in the field Sok Ping Melissa?
My goal is to keep creating and keep exploring. Every collection and design allow me to know what works, as well as knowing the opposite of what works and syncing those two things up with the moment. I think that is how I see myself progress as a designer.
How do you communicate with people Sok Ping Melissa? Are you patient? Are you friendly? How open are you to clients’ requirements?
Always patient and open to any forms of criticisms.

My instructors and my peers helped me get to where I am.
How important are creative education courses Sok Ping Melissa? Have you taken any, and did you find them useful?
Creative education is foundations to becoming a designer. I took fashion design studio and pattern making classes to broaden my knowledge as well as exploring new skills.
Do you have any tips for someone who is just starting out in the industry?
Keep trying and do not give up no matter what comes your way.
