My inspiration in life is to be a successful actress who owns an Oscar, and uses my outreach to help as many people as possible. My inspiration is easily maintained due to the number of people who still need help in this world.
We all make mistakes Melanie, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Model, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
In my first audition on a big studio lot here in LA, I stuttered in an audition! Clearly, I did took that job. I felt insecure and now I remind myself I am not trying to impress anyone but myself.
Melanie, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
I have an amazing team that works for me who is exceptional at anticipating clients needs. I oversee it all but rely on choosing genuine people to work with me.
Please tell us, Melanie, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
Every day is a time management exercise. Sometimes I win and often I fail. I've learned not every day is are you able to give 100% of yourself. Sometimes your 100% is 50% and its about allowing yourself to be less than perfect.
Melanie, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Daily! Ask anyone I know and they will tell you I can sell ice to an Eskimo. lol If I believe in something I can make you believe too.
Melanie, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
Winning global awards and accolades for my first film I produced. We screened at the Cannes International Film Festival and all the press we received landed me on the cover of Maxim Magazine (Italy). It was a film I made to honor my Mom, who passed away from Brain Cancer. I wanted to acknowledge what she had been through and also raise awareness of the symptoms as it is commonly misdiagnosed.
Melanie, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I am creative daily. I mean I write, act, produce and run my own business as I see fit. I need that freedom. I could not exist without it.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
Do it. Nothing is stopping you, except your fears. I opened my first spa at 21 years old. I had NO IDEA what I was doing. I just did it! I've now opened 7 med spas, including 3 for myself and several for other Dr's or companies.
