I was born into a family of entertainment. My mothers entire family have worked in the dance and film industry for many decades, owning their training centres. I enjoy knowing all the skills I am capable of obtaining to be well rounded and better serve my audience or customers.
Meg, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
As a little kid, I owned many video cameras and would make films on YouTube with my friends. As I entered Highschool, that habit led me to discover the power of still images. I went into my bedroom and grabbed a bed sheet to hang up as a backdrop. When those images from that day turned out beautiful, I knew this is what I wanted to do.
Who is your inspiration in life Meg? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration is my friends around me working hard every single day to achieve their goals. I have many Rolfe model photographers that I look up to as well and love to grab inspiration from their work
We all make mistakes Meg; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
My first paid gig to photograph food for a restaurant could have gone much better. There was dust in my camera sensor which I did not realise until I was in the post and instead of asking to redo the images I sent them without a word. I know that was not good of my character
Meg, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
Because I work mainly with fashion shoots, I don't typically overbook myself. So prioritising, first come first serve, and the value of the event is very important to me
Please tell us, Meg, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
There are times in school where I had a huge photo project due, as well as edits for a client due and these are the times where my creativity is challenged the most in the best ways. I often look for ways to let one obstacle in my life, inspire the other obstacles
Meg, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I try to remind people that the difference in opinion is okay.
Meg, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I attended a workshop with my all-time favourite photographer; it was a gift for my birthday. During the workshop, we were instructed to take photos of one of the models provided for us. My favourite image that I captured that day was showcased and posted on their Instagram
Meg, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
As you learn more about photoshop, your creative abilities in post grow immensely. I love how creative I am able to get when editing because literally, anything is possible.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
I would say to practice every day and get inspired by some of your favourite photographers. Everyone has their style, find it and live by it.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
I am looking for collaboration with agencies and brands whether it be a brand deal photography job or the opportunity to photograph high fashion models signed to an agency
