Something that most people find interesting is I come from a farm background. People see me, and they could never guess that about me. I am very passionate when it comes to working and creating something.
Mark, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
How I started with photography was when I was a kid I would always have a camera on me. I first studied Tourism in school and took a darkroom course and realised how much I loved the craft of photography. When it comes to making images, my one thing is to work with a team that gets the concept and the end goal. Nothing pleases me more than knowing that I did what was asked or what I wanted to achieve.
Who is your inspiration in life Mark? How do you keep inspired?
Positive and hardworking individuals are surrounding my inspiration in life. This is one of the biggest inspirations for me. Makes me strive more and harder to achieve the goal.
We all make mistakes Mark; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
At this point, I feel like I have been lucky. I haven't had many situations that have been tricky to fix, just one I can remember was I had the wrong date written down for a gig. And had to panic and make it happen, everything worked out in the end!
Mark, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
I usually tend to figure out who needs the most attention and whom I need to spend the most time with first before others.
Please tell us, Mark, about a time you had to be very strategic in order to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
I think its a thing we have to do every time we shoot as photographers. Every situation is different; every shoot is different. And as a photographer, I need to plan my workflow for that job.
Mark, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I think when it comes to having to persuade someone, it may be tricky but you have to remind them why they hired you to do the job. And what you are doing is the best way to achieve the result.
Mark, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I think my proudest moment is seeing the clients face when they see the imagery, during and after the shoot. Knowing that they are so happy makes me happy!
Mark, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Um at this time in my career I have been most creative as I am building my brand and who I am. So most of my work has been very creative
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
I think knowing that there is always room for improvement and always things to learn. We are in an industry where things change so fast, the only way to keep up is to keep up with change and be ok with it.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I am looking for collaborations in the fashion industry. I am looking to expand more commercially whether it's with certain brands or getting creative for editorials.
