ABOUT
My name is Lune (meaning "moon" in French), I am Dutch and lived in Amsterdam most of my life. I went to study Hospitality Management in Switzerland but realized towards the end of my studies where my true passion lies: fashion. Therefore, I decided to follow my heart and moved to London to complete a master in Fashion & Luxury Brand Management. I love being creative and channelling a certain feeling or emotion, which is mainly shown through the outfits that I wear and the images that I post on Social Media. I believe modeling is a great way of expressing a certain feeling or portraying a particular mood that is hard to put into words. I believe modeling, social media, and fashion are all interlinked and gives me an all-round advantage as a model. My studies have taught me how to be professional, work well with anyone and understand the client's needs and vision.

Yes

Our readers would love to get to know you more Lune. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

Ah, difficult question! I guess it is pretty special that I lived in 4 different countries the past four years: Switzerland, Spain, United States (NYC), and now UK (London) - I love going on an adventure!

Lune, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?

I have only recently been getting into modeling as I was studying before that, but people always told me I should so I gave it a try when I moved to London. My passion is anything to do with fashion. Secret aspiration is to have my fashion brand one day!

Who is your inspiration in life Lune? How do you keep inspired?

It's a classic, but I have to say, my mom! She is such a go-getter, very down to earth but juggles four kids, her husband and a job at the same time! She always inspires me to go the extra mile. Also, surrounding myself with ambitious and positive-minded people always inspires me as well to be the best that I can. Other than that, London itself is a very vibrant and inspiring city, especially East London is fascinating.

We all make mistakes Lune; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Since I have not been that long in the industry, I have not had any bad experiences; everyone has been lovely so far!

Lune , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

I believe it's important to keep a clear overview to avoid confusion, don't focus too much on unimportant details and work goal-oriented while still embodying the brands' vision. In the end, the client is king!

Please tell us Lune, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?

As there are many people involved during the process, I believe as a model it is most important to remain openminded and flexible during the job. If there is anything valuable that you can add, speak up, but working well together as a team is most important.

Lune, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
If you are kind and show a genuine interest in improving something, I think that goes a long way! I always try to incorporate my suggestions but not pretend as if I know better than someone else, which usually is a pretty successful tactic :)

Lune, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I think getting a foothold in such a competitive business is already an accomplishment in itself!

Lune, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
I have had a few shoots where I told the photographer I studied fashion, and they let me style parts of the outfits!

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?

Not giving up and not taking no for an answer is probably one of the most valuable things I have learned so far.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Yes, I would love to do any fashion-related or social media collabs!
