Surreal, whimsical, and romantic- Lonely Heart is a small batch visionary fashion line created and produced in Los Angeles by Lucia Kramarczuk.
Lucia attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she studied under the direction of Shane Gabier of "Creatures of the Wind" and awarded fashion and performance artist Nick Cave. Mentoring by both conceptual and commercial artists led to a dual approach to fashion designing that is functional as well as figurative.

Our readers would love to get to know you more Lonely. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?

Designing for me starts with a story, a feeling a place and a moment in time. The story doesn't necessarily have to be extravagant it can be simple so long as it is impactful. My latest collection is inspired by 'Jimi Hendrix in Versailles'. A simple concept such as this develops into a curious vision through play and experimentation.

Lonely, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Fashion Label?

A mentor once told me 'be passionate about what you wear, what you think, and how you feel.' I think about these things with confidence while I design and take them to heart. In school, I had a multidisciplinary education and originally focused on painting and illustration. I learned sewing early on and returned to it once I saw the narrative potential. Fashion is such a fantastic tool to experiment with the social, cultural, and historical material.

Who is your inspiration in life Lonely? How do you keep inspired?

-The world is a large place with many people. There are so many untold stories and inspiring things people do to express themselves; I feel I have constant motivation because there is so much content to pull from.

We all make mistakes Lonely; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Fashion Label ; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Part of being successful as an artist is learning to communicate. Everyone has a unique opinion and viewpoint. It is important to learn from others and take input from all angles and all different people.

Lonely , when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Fashion Label, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?

Always start with the customer in mind. As a designer, sometimes you have to make creative sacrifices. Something may be of great importance to you, but if you can't communicate it effectively to clients, it might be time to move on.

Please tell us Lonely, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Fashion Label?

Lonely Heart works by a 'small batch' mentality. Having everything in-house from concept, production, and implementation gives us a lot of control. We can take the time to focus on the needs of individuals while maintaining the best quality possible.

Lonely, please give us an example of a time when you were able to successfully persuade someone to see things your way at work.
Always start with facts and evidence, then try to communicate the feelings and emotions alongside them.

Lonely, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Fashion Label. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want with share to everyone. What is it and why?
Seeing emotion and adoration for the clothing. Bringing happiness and joy into peoples lives is a great accomplishment in itself.

Lonely, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Being playful and experimenting is so important in my work. Don't take it too seriously; it should be fun adventurous. Ask questions and be excited to see where the quest for answers takes you.

What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Fashion Label?

Figure out what you want to say, then figure out how to say it.

Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state below what type of collaboration you are looking for?
Of course! There are so many people out there with great ideas and interesting perspectives of life. We are all part of the human experience and sharing emotions and ideas makes us feel less lonely.
