Our readers would love to get to know you more Lisette. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
I wear my heart on my sleeve. I am the bubbly person that just wants to spread love and joy as corny as it may sound.
Lisette, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Model?
One day my sister and I were on our way to the mall, and we heard on the radio a model call. I joked and told my sister I should go. Right when I said that a look came on her face and next thing I knew she made me write down all the information. A week later I was at this audition. Since then I have been blessed with many opportunities that now I crave so much more.
Who is your inspiration in life Lisette? How do you keep inspired?
My inspiration now and always will be my parents!
We all make mistakes Lisette; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Model; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Not too long ago, I was in a fashion show where we were modelling these amazing handmade garments. Another model and I fell in love with a certain piece that we both wanted to wear. We are starting fighting like little kids over candy about who was going to wear the garment! The designer ended up putting in on another model. We laugh at that moment now, but my actions were embarrassing.
Lisette, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Model, how do you go about prioritising your clients’ needs?
Every client has their style of working and vision. It can be very exhausting to try to meet that vision, especially when it is more than once client involved. As a model, my job is to understand their vision and the result they want to reach. Once I understand that I know exactly what is expected of me.
Please tell us, Lisette, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Model?
I bought a planner! You have to be organised and buying a planner is what kept me on top of everything.
Lisette, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
It can be very difficult to change someone's opinion on something. What I have learned is that we shouldn't try to change one's opinion but just try to understand it. That way they would be more open to yours.
Lisette, please tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Model. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you just want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I think my proudest moment as a model is my first photo shoot ever! I was extremely nervous and was so doubtful if I can even do this. After the shoot was done and I saw the results, I was shocked! I did it, and the results were amazing!
Lisette, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
The most creative I've been with modelling is modelling with a 40lb snake. I didn't think I could do it. It was probably the most difficult and exciting shoot I have done.
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Model?
You are your biggest obstacle! Believe in yourself and in what you bring to the table.
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
print, editorial, runway
Now for the best part Lisette! Please upload 5-10 photos so we can get to see your work.
