Our readers would love to get to know you more Linda. Tell us about yourself, what is unique about you?
When I started Sunny Side Up it was more of an art project .. a new way of looking at leather. We won prizes for the most innovative project after that I couldn't stop ;) With a small team we started working on a perfect little bag. I think everyone that starts a business knows the feeling of Not knowing where to start and so the mantra I have is Trail and error .. lots of errors and persistent can take you pretty far.
Linda, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Fashion Label?
I have a passion for learning.. to be honest, I'm a real nerd and love to look at my Facebook pixel. besides that, I met some pretty awesome and talented people along the way that help me. In the beginning, this was the hardest part always working alone not knowing if my choices were the right ones. I have learned to love my errors
Who is your inspiration in life Linda? How do you keep inspired?
I have a lot of people that inspire me like Candice Neistat she has a great company called Billy. I love how she uses her social media. it's not slick but real. also, Amy porter field is high on my list. She has these amazing podcast full with a lot of tips and tricks about advertising on social media. Nina Dancet my favorite photographer with her attitude she is going to concur the world. And Of course my husband he is an art director for agency's besides that he is always there to give me advice and support I can honestly say, I couldn't do it without him.
We all make mistakes Linda, we wish we could take back. Please tell us about a time being a Fashion Label, you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Trail and error is my mantra because I made so many mistakes along the way. But I would say to every starter think twice before you spent all your budget on a PR consultancy. Be wise and look at the opportunity for social media. That's what I would do differently
Linda, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Fashion Label, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
Thankfully I build up a great email list with some warm customers and fans so my main goal is to give them great content. Customer service is the most important service there is. If you fail at this you will lose your fans So I can honestly say I go above and beyond to my customers.
