I'm very interested in fashion myself. I've always been a very artistic person. I thought about pursuing a career as a fashion illustrator, which I did for one year besides. I'm very interested in fine art and modern art. And I combine all of this in my photography. I think this makes a good combination :)
Linda, what are your passion and aspiration in life? How did you start as a Photographer?
I started out when I was 16. I became an action sports photographer, my images got known quite quickly. I travelled the world with the world's top athletes. At some point, during my study in Marketing, I realised how much love I got for fashion myself, and tried out portrait and fashion photography. At the moment I started, I just knew that this is IT. Fashion photography is my everything, and the career I want to pursue my whole life.
Who is your inspiration in life Linda? How do you keep inspired?
I kind of get inspired by almost everything, every day. It needs a walk through the city, and I notice a thousand small things that inspire me. But of course, there is also some photographer's work I admire, like Txema Yeste, Camilla Akrans,
We all make mistakes Linda; we wish we could take back. Please tell us about time being a Photographer; you wish you’d handled a situation differently with a colleague.
Due to a high volume of shootings, I sometimes forgot who the hair & makeup artist was on the exact spot, which sometimes brings me into embarrassing situations. So sorry. I appreacity and honour all of your work. It's my leaky brain.
Linda, when you’re working with a large number of clients, it’s tricky to deliver excellent service to them all. As a Photographer, how do you go about prioritizing your clients’ needs?
The needs are always on top of the list. Priority is to make your client happy and create a great result together. But together, of course, also means to give your own opinion and bring new ideas into the concept.
Please tell us, Linda, about a time you had to be very strategic to meet all your top priorities as a Photographer?
Nowadays being a photographer is so much more than just the capability to make good pictures. Nowadays you also have to be a marketer, a social media expert, a creative director, sometimes a little bit of a psychologist, and many more. It's really hard to fulfil all of those duties. Sometimes the to-do lists never seem to end. Everyone expects you to do everything. You have to be good time management to handle :)
Linda, please give us an example of a time when you were able to persuade someone to see things your way at work successfully.
I'm not a big fan of persuading or convincing. Sometimes during a client shoot, I get a great idea. But sometimes, clients are not as visual minds, as you are. They can't see the image, which just popped up in my head. So I show them my idea, by quickly taking a photo. Then the clients can imagine it better. That's the way I like to handle such situations :)
Linda pl, ease tell us about your proudest professional accomplishment as a Photographer. There might be many, but there is always this proudest moment that you want to share with everyone. What is it and why?
I was awarded 4tha place in the categories Young Photographers at the European Photographer Of The Year 2016, and the year later I got into the finalists in the category Fashion Photographers, at the competition of 2017.
Linda, please give us an example of a time you were able to be creative with your work. What was exciting or difficult about it?
Whenever I shoot editorial, I can be as creative as I want to be. This is my favourite part to do!
What advice would you give to the people who want to be successful as a Photographer?
do it and work you're a** off!
Are you looking for collaboration with fashion talents, brands and creatives? If yes, please state what type of collaboration you are looking for?
of course :) Always looking for cool brands, but also designers, makeup artists, stylists, prop/set designers,...
